USA Train's Personal Description
I will not discuss purchase price or maintenance cost due to their monthly cost changes unless there is a big reason why but not in detail.

Special 2-4-2: The frist and weakest train in the USA. With its somewhat poor top speed and horrible Horsepower it's not a great train compared to others it will meet. BUT you are required to use it for 10 years before a competitor comes out. So a good strategy with this train is light and small trains and if you need to double up on them. When the Baldwin 2-8-0 comes out I recommend using this train for small passenger- mail lines instead of the Baldwin 2-8-0. This train is good for short to medium range.

Baldwin 2-8-0: The successor but also competitor of the Special 2-4-2. It's slightly slower but for double the horsepower. This is a freight train through and through. While it can do passenger routes the special does it slightly faster and slightly cheaper. This train is good for short to medium range.

Pacific: Say goodbye to the previous 2. This train is 10 mph faster than the Special 2-4-2 with just under double the horsepower of the Baldwin 2-8-0. But there is 1 catch. This is the longest single train in the game. It's coal car alone is just under the length of a full size train car. But this train is worth it just for the speed and horsepower. This train is good for medium to long range.

Class E8: What to say about this. This is the one USA train I have very little experience with in Chris Sawyer's Locomotion. But for a good reason. When this train comes out you will only be 4 years away from the Century and the Pacific can do the job just as good as the Class E8. But the Class E8 is just slightly better than the Pacific in every way. But the amount of improvements is minimum except its top speed of 60mph. This train is good for medium to long range.

Century: Ohh yes, that magical 90% reliability with 2,100 horsepower. What is wrong with this train you may ask? It's discontinued after 2000........ I suggest you replace every train you have with this amazing machine asap. This train is good for medium to long range.

Dash 7: This is a really good train. It reaches 70mph with 3,000 horsepower. The downside is that it has slightly worse reliablity then the Century and less horsepower than the SD70 with a price between the 2 other trains. This train is good for medium to long range.

SD70: It's a monster to make it simple. With 4,000 horsepower this is Americas heavy hauler train. Slap 2 of these on almost any train load and you'll see it move with ease. But this all comes at a cost. The cost is worse reliability and higher price then the Dash 7. This train is good for medium to long range.

"Electra Star Power Car: High and bye. This is the Electra Star, it's the fastest train in the game at 186mph. It's only capable at transporting 1 type of car and that's the Electra Star Passenger Car. If you want to transport passengers across the map without planes this is your best option." This is the only electric train in default USA senerios. This train is good for Medium to MAP WIDE.

Thank you for making me aware of my mistake. This has been corrected. Idk why I made it Drash 7 instead of it's true name Dash 7.

I'm pretty sure it's "Dash 7" not "Drash 7", otherwise useful guide. Thanks!
