This picture makes perfect sense about WW1, Men weren't available, as they were dying on the battlefield for a meter of land, and women were the only ones left out in the country.

absolutely. cattle were requisitioned for military food, and horses for military transport (or fight)

I mean, what about bulls? Steam Traction Engines were hidden away, so yeah, that's out of the way, but what about bulls? Was the cattle killed for military food usage?
