I was shocked - If these 2 guys run out of ammo - they can switch to a "interception fire" type of attack and use it on their CP move.

Given how the AI has been over all the games, that's about accurate.
Be glad it didn't decide to ass-pull a scout running to shoot someone, and score 5 head-shots because it could.

Both of these are equally likely with the AI in Valkyria Chronicles.
