Introduction
NOTE: This guide was last updated over a year ago. There may have been changes in the game updates since that are not reflected bellow. But it should still provide you with an understanding of the system as well as a general idea of the prices.

I have collected data on how much litre per acre each of the crops produce in the base game. This test was done with 165% yield for all of them.

For the sell prices, I have found some data in the game files and I think it represent the average price for the sell points. You can use this information to make sure you always sell at a good price. Prices are affected by the difficulty level, and it appears to be multiplied respectively by 3x for "New Farmer", 2x for "Farm Manager" and also 2x for "Start From Scratch" (Since patch 1.2). There are a few exceptions however, which is the Silage, Manure and Slurry price at the Biogas Plant, that seems to be "hardcoded" as they are not following the game file settings and they aren't affected by you selling products there.

Sell Prices
To help with waiting for the best prices to sell, here are prices ranges you can expect. Aim for a selling price somewhere between the 75% and Maximum columns.

Conclusion and my final thoughts
At the end, the actual effort, time required, capital investment needed for the special equiment all play an important role that must be considered. And I think that it is well balanced overall.

Do take the time to collect the straw from your Wheat, Oat and Barley fields, you can be missing out on about 50% of profit if you don't collect and sell it!

To sell Silage at the Biogas Plant, you must be buy the land first. It can take up to 50,000 Litre of Silage at once, and process it continually. You don't get the money right away, it will pay you at midnight. The price is unaffected by selling at this location.

Because sell prices at the various sell locations will drop after you sell your crops, it's preferable to farm various crops, and only sell them when prices are high or during a high demand. A large farm with a single crop type wouldn't be as profitable because sell prices would be lower often.

The financial overview of FS19 is incorrect!
I restarted game 1 as a farm manager. I purchased 2 fields at a cost of €406'130 total and found them listed in the financial overview at a price of €456'240.I also purchased a tractor(mod), a harverster and a sewiing machine (mod) at a total of €789200 to find it listed in the oveview at €797'700.
I also found a listing of €79'492 as harvesting income although I haven't harvested any field I own as yet and the overview also shows a loan of €250'000 which I never asked for.
Can anybody explain these differences to me?

The thing is that the prices aren't so much determined by the starting preset, as by the economic difficulty setting in the options. It starts out at Medium for both Farm manager and Start from scratch, but could be changed to Hard.
