Hello all! This guide will cover the basics, as well as the finer details. Warning! After you complete this achievement, you will not be able to gamble ever again in any of the strips casinos, so I advise that before you start that you make a backup save if you like gambling or you want to not have people in the casinos pissed off at you. I also advise getting your luck up as much as you can, as it does increase your chance of winning slightly.

If you just want the achievement, you may wish to just boost your luck up to 10 by using the console command: player.forceav luck 10 (note that this also works will all S.P.E.C.I.A.L. abilities as well as normal skills). This is completely optional, but it does increase your chances by a significant amount. **NOTE! Achievements will be disabled if you do this, my apologies for misleading you!**

As we are going to be playing Blackjack, you may want to take a moment to read up on the basic rules of the game, although it is not completely necessary as I will explain them. Thank you in advance for reading my guide, please take a moment to comment and rate it. Lets go!

You can get a ton of rewards from playing in the casinos. After you make enough money, the casino will give you a gift to encourage you to stay in their casino. They will give you a gift after each 25% increment to getting kicked out of the casino.

If you are going to do this achievment, the easiest and quickest way to do so is through Blackjack. Here I will cover the basics of the game, as well as some tips specifically for Fallout: New Vegas (they are specific because it relies on explotation of game mechanics, doesn't work in real life). So, lets begin! In the game of Blackjack, the goal is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over. The player that is closest to 21 wins the pot. Each card with a number is worth it's said number. Ex, a 7 = 7 points. Each face card is worth 10 points, ex kings, queens, and jacks. An Ace is worth 1 or 11 points, depending on how you want to play it. So, an Ace coupled with a face card or a 10 is an instant win, unless the dealer also has a 21, in which case you break even, losing no money and gaining no money. Below I will cover a all the technical things you will deal with.

Hit
Gives you one card. Not recomended if you have an 18 or higher

Double Down
Gives you one card and doubles your bet. After you do this, you cannot hit, with the exeption being in splits. If you have very high luck, I recommend doing this if you have 10 to 12 points, as you normally get a good card. If you have 10 points, there is no possiblility of you going over and if your luck is high you will normally get a eight, nine, or ten.

Split
You can only do this when you have two cards of the same value, two of the same face cards, or two aces. What splitting does is splits the cards into two hands, which you can seperatly deal with. When you double down on on hand, you can still hit on the other. Be warned when splitting, as when you split your doubles, and when you double down on one hnd, it doubles your original bet. Ex, if your original bet was 200, and you split, your new bet is 400. If you double down on one hand, you will increase your bet to 600. This is one of the easiest ways to loose money, so be wise when doing this.

Stand
Ends your turn.

Instant Blackjack
Every once in a while, you will be dealt an instant Blackjack. When this happens, you will receive one half of your original bet in addition to your bet. Ex, if you bet 200 and got an instant Blackjack you would then recieve 300.

Before you start playing, you will need to know where the bank tellers are so that you can get the chips you need to play. You can not play any games without chips. Below are the locations of the bank tellers for all the casinos on the Strip.

The Tops
Located Directly behind the main desk, up the stairs and to the left.

Gomorrah
Located inside, directly to the left.


Ultra-Luxe
Located inside, across from the main doors, behind the game floor.

So, by now you know what you can win, how to play Blackjack, and where the tellers are located. Before you start, you should have around 500 caps. Go to the teller of the casino, and cash in about 205 caps. Now head down into the game floor and hit up the Blackjack table. Play a few rounds on the lowest bet to get a feel for the game. When you are up for it, kick up the bet to 100. Play a few rounds, and when you have a couple hundred chips, go ahead and raise it to 200. From there, just play until you recieve your first gift. Now if your game was like mine, after you were pulled away from your game, you winning streak was destroyed. Take a few rounds to work your way back up to 200, as you will probably lose a few rounds if you raise it up all the way right off the bat.

Eventually you will be aproached by the Floor Manager, and they will tell you none to politely that you can no longer gamble on their floor. After leaving the casino, be sure to take a few minutes away from the keyboard, maybe grab a drink. After you cash in your chips, head to the next casino. Play normally and rob them blind. Once they kick you out, leave them with empty pockets and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ remark. Cash in the chips, and head to the next casino. Play like a boss, own those petty beggers. When they kick you out, cash your chips and head to your new suite in either the Tops or the Ultra-Luxe (which is the more desireable of the two).

By now you should have received your achievment, The Courier Who Broke the Bank. Now go out, buy some guns, and roll around in your vast wealth. This should be you by the time you are done. Thank you for reading my guide, please take a moment to leave a coment, or a rating.

• Double down when you have a high number, like seven, eight, nine, or ten, especially if you have high luck.
  
  
• Hit when you have a seventeen or lower. If you have high luck, you will get a two or three often enough.

• After you are done with the Strip, humanely euthenize the game floor managers, one at a time. Who are they to tell you you have to much money?
  
  
• I perfer to hit the casinos in the order of lowest to highest kick out amount. The Tops is about 10k, Gomorrah is about 12.5k, and the Ultra-Luxe is about 15k.
  
  
• Luck is VERY important for this achievement, and you will face difficulties if yours is not at 7 or higher. You can easily improve your luck by going to the Clinic and getting the Luck implant.
