Klassenfahrt bezeichnen ihre Musik als „Weltraumschrott“ oder „Space-Blues“ und meinen damit eine Mischung aus Acid-Rock, Post-Rock und Krautrock. Repetitive Rhythmik, Ausflüge ins Disharmonische und elektronische Lautmalerei gestalten die mitunter düster wirkende Soundkulisse musikgewordener Gedanken, die sich in ihrer Wechselwirkung stets aufs neue interpretieren. Hörern, denen Bands wie Nova Express, Helios Creed, Chrome, Pink Floyd oder Hawkwind ein Begriff sind, werden unschwer deren musikalischen Einfluss auf den Sound von Klassenfahrt erkennen. Die Texte sind englischsprachig, obwohl der Bandname eingangs natürlich anderes vermuten lässt. Der Name versteht sich als Arbeitstitel und ist seiner Zeit entstanden, als eine bramscher Schule nach dem Okkultismuswahn der 80er/90er ein weiteres Mal in der medialen Öffentlichkeit stand.
