Another friend had an Amiga. Wow that computer amazed me. What an incredible piece of technology, way ahead of its time. Laser Squad was almost a board game. You had a map and a certain number of moves you could do in your turn. After one player was finished you had to cover your eyes and let the other player take their turn as you were attacking their compound and they were defending and you weren’t supposed to know where each other were until you bumped into each other and then combat began. Think of it as a very, VERY early XCOM Enemy Unknown. It was one of the first TBS games I ever played and it was insanely good fun. Little bit of trivia…this was actually originally released on the ZX Spectrum but I didn’t play it until the Amiga version was released.
