Okay, first things first.

**CLOSE YOUR LAUNCHER/GAME**

Locate your installation of Black Desert Online, and navigate to the ads folder:
\Black Desert Online SA\ads\

That is where your folder should be located. In there you should find files named languagedata_xx.loc, these are the files we'll be working with.

Back all the files in there up and keep them somewhere safe, you might need them at some point in the future.

I will add an example of my folder


I placed the back up right there for convenience, but feel free to place it elsewhere.

Now you're going to download the localization file.

You can download the latest language files for NA client quite easily yourself in a few steps.

• Go to this address http://dn.sea.playblackdesert.com/UploadData/ads_files
  
  
• Take note of the number shown.
  
  
• Go to this address http://dn.sea.playblackdesert.com/UploadData/ads/languagedata_en/###/languagedata_en.loc But replace the ### with the number from step 2.
  
  
• Let it download (about 50MB or so), extract zip, and you'll have all the language files for current NA version. :)
  
  
• Rename your localization file to the language code of your preferred language.
  
  
• Overwrite the original one with the newly downloaded version in the Black Desert Online SA folder.

Now that the file is downloaded (and scanned for virusses), navigate back to your ads folder in your installation.

In there delete the languagedata_xx.loc of whichever language you want to replace.

Now, navigate back to where languagedata_en.loc was downloaded, and copy this file and paste it in the ads folder.

Once it has been added to the folder, rename languagedata_en.loc to languagedata_xx.loc of whichever language you deleted.

Now, this is for those who didn't have the game on the language that they replaced with English.

You can change the file either in the launcher, or in game.
I am unable to show all versions with a screenshot, so I will provide for the SA version of the game, your own experience may vary.

Start up the Launcher as per usual. Once it's started up, open settings.


Now we change the language, since I have been tampering with my files, language doesn't show.

But yours should show a language.

Set the language to whichever you replaced with English.

I have not tested to see if it works when you change the language in game. So do that at your own risk.
But I will be kind enough to show you a screenshot if you're going that route.

Well done!!!

Now you are able to play your game in English. This is all there is to it, just a copy paste of a file.
