When you open the Receiver launch window (settings):
While Receiver has low FPS on PC, you MUST remember this:
ALWAYS SET YOUR RESOLUTION AT THE MAX
This is because your monitor is not used to low-res Unity games (unless you have a Mac).
This is also because you NEED to see when playing, and it has randomly generated levels, like Minecraft.
Some of you may notice the Slo-Mo button in the input (Tab by default). Before you go "wtf the slomo thingy doesnt woork this game sucks ass", you need to enter the cheat code. This will be one of the last topics.

When you spawn, you will be given a gun, and (maybe) about 0-15 bullets.
Use everything at your disposal in spawn. These are things YOU should do:

• Make you gun ready to fire/open help menu
  
• Fill up your magazines or magnum barrel
  
• Scan the entire room/spawn area you were generated in
  
• Choose your path (up, down, forwards, backwards, etc.)
  
• Type in idkfa

Keep in mind,
DO NOT FIRE YOUR GUN IN THE SPAWN ROOM UNLESS THERE ARE ENEMIES

There are 3 weapons in Receiver as of June 26th, 2013. These weapons are:

• The Glock-17
  
• The M1911A1
  
• The Model 10 "Victory" Revolver

You will get one of these weapons upon spawning in the game. If you want a different gun, hold down L until the screen is nearly black.

The Gangsta Glock Block
Magazine: 17 + 1
Damage: Med-Low
Accuracy: High as the Empire State Building
Fire Rate: Higher than the Empire State Building leading to the world on fire
Performance: Good

• Has no safety
  
• Easy to use
  
• Has full auto option

The Victorious Model 10 Revolver
Barrel: 6 (duh)
Damage: High as the Empire State Building
Accuracy: Great
Fire Rate: Manual hammer (fastest) or the double-action default (fast)
Performance: Average

• Has no safety
  
• Hard to use
  
• God-like with the flashlight
  
• Avoid outdoor areas while using this gun

The WW2 Veteran M1911A1
Magazine: 7 + 1
Damage: Med-High
Accuracy: Awesome
Fire Rate: Fast enough to kill a turret after spotting you
Performance: GOD-LIKE

• Best when checking the chamber before entering an area
  
• Bad with flashlights
  
• The game winner

This part is important, and once you're ready to leave to spawn room, you must choose a path to continue.
What YOU should do:

• Look down each doorway of the 2 (or more) pathways. If you hear a drone, turn around and go the other way.
  
• If the path isn't lethal, go down that way and search it. If the area is outside, be mindful of flying drones (I just enable godmode, slowmo, and jump off the top while shooting them down)
  
• If they both/all have drones, choose one, and if there are TONS of drones, book it.

Keep this in mind:
Try to search each area

After you've left spawn, killed some drones, and maybe find a tape, you will need to reload.
Reloading is actually very easy if you look at it properly.

If you have a flashlight (in the first slot):
E, 3, 2, Z, R/T
Some of you maybe confused about the numbers. The numbers indicate your inventory slots numbering 1-0 on your keyboard.
THE STEPS EXPLAINED

• E - This will eject your magazine
  
• 2 - This puts the magazine you're currently holding in your hand into your inventory.
  
• 1 - This will make you grab the OTHER magazine you (hopefully) have.
  
• Z - This inserts the magazine into your gun
  
• R/T - R: Pulls back the slide (This can only be done fast). T: Releases the slide lock to have a round chambered and ready to fire.

However, if you DON'T have an extra magazine, you can manually fill it up.

Eject, holster gun, put bullets into magazine, draw weapon, insert magazine
Easy peasy, kinda cheesy

L00t, sw33t l00t
This is when you are scavenging for ammo, tapes and possibly a flashlight.
What YOU should do when entering a room (tanker rooms and small rooftops have the most common chance to have items):

• Draw your gun and bring out your flashlight
  
• Take in your surroundings
  
• Listen for drones - if you see a bunch of drones, book it while taking sharp left and right turns
  
• Remember previous places
  
• Peek around each corner
  
• Time your shots and movements

Keep this is mind:
Look everywhere

If you find a tape, and you're listening to it:

• Find a very safe spot (such as a bathtub)
  
• Don't move
  
• Care about the storyline
  
• If you have the clear tape to reduce the effects of mindtech, feel free to move

MOAR secret stuff:
having no magazine in your gun, but having a bullet chambered can let you fire the gun
Holding T+R has you look in the chamber (I just quickly do it to make me feel like I'm cocking the gun)
You can pause and play current tapes with X
The revolver can hold several rounds (loljk)
