Go to your COD:UO directory (mostly C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty\uo\) and edit uoconfig.cfg file. (I recommend Notepad++)

All of the following commands need to be changed in this file (they are already there but with different values, use CTRL+F):

seta r_customwidth "XXXX" --> seta r_customwidth "1920"
seta r_customheight "XXXX" --> seta r_customheight "1080"
seta cg_fov "XX" --> seta cg_fov "96"
seta r_mode "X" --> seta r_mode "-1"
seta com_introplayed "0" --> seta com_introplayed "1"

Do not change your resolution in the game. If you do, you will lose widescreen, and have to do this all over again.

Jdi do adresáře, kde máš nainstalované COD:UO (nejčastěji C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty\uo\) a edituj soubor uoconfig.cfg. (Doporučuji textový editor Notepad++)

Všechny následující úpravy jsou pouze v tomto souboru (příkazy už zde existují, pouze mají jinou hodnotu, používej CTRL+F pro jednodušší vyhledávání):

seta cg_fov "XX" --> seta cg_fov "96"

V nastavení hry nesmíš změnit rozlišení, pokud rozlišení změníš, přijdeš o všechny úpravy a můžeš začít od začátku.

Užij si širokoúhlé COD :)

Guys, you don't have to change scalling to 100%. Just right click on CoDUOMP.exe --> Properties --> Change High resolution DPI settings, and at the bottom click the tick and change to "Application". Done :)

just wanted to say mate, huge thank you, at first I was skeptical because it made my desktop quite literally super tiny to see in the process, but after launching the game, it was perfectly size'ed up as if it were normal full screen, I cannot thank you enough on this info

touhou, go into your windows settings and change the resolution scaling to 100 instead of 125. that seems to help with that issue in older games for me

If anyone ever see's this message in 2025, what should I do if the resolution ends up gigantic to the point where most of the menu screen is outside your monitor and you have to guess where the mouse is by hearing the sound prompts to exit

You're not putting it in the proper UO config then.

doesnt work for me, worked for COD1 but doesnt work for COD1 MP & COD1 UO.

Guys if you're having trouble with the aspect ratio i just changed my overall scale and layout found in the settings, It was set to 125% as the apps and text is too small on my 2560x1440 display and prefer them larger it should fix the problem in game and just change it back when you're done playing, obviously follow the guide and then do this it should work
