HABBIINS Trailer Pack
----------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: This is a trailer pack, you can add these to your trains using the
Extended Asset Editor Mod
, alternatively you can subscribe to a cargo train from the workshop and use the Random-Train-Trailers-Mod (RTT) and replace its trailers.

Sliding-wall trailer on 4 axis of type HABBIINS. These trailers are used to carry various cargo
such as: paper, plastics, electronic devices, etc... They are usually found on railyards behind warehouses or "end-product" industrial facilities, like paper factories.

To get variety in the looks of the individual trailers, each one has a unique decal placement, unique serial number and a unique "rust"-effect. This effect comes in 4 different colors to make it seem as if the trailers are of different age.

This Pack contains 5 different HABBIINS trailers:
  • DB (red-grey)
  • Generic (brown)
  • RCA (red-grey)
  • SBB (black-grey)
  • TWA (blue-grey)

For all my models i used the following programs:
  • Blender v2.78 for raw modelling
  • paint.net for diffuse / alpha / color-var. / illum. / specular textures
  • AwesomeBump for normal texture

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mapping:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Every of the following maps is 2048x2048 pixels (4MP):
  • Diffuse Map
  • Alpha Mask
  • Illumination Mask
  • Color-Variation Mask
  • Normal Map

----------------------------------------------------------------------
LOD:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Verts: 1.650
  • Tris: 2.386
  • Faces: 2.386

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Future Improvements:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
  • Minor Texture Debugging

Enjoy and feel free to critisize/compliment in the comments-section! :)

just to give you an idea... im gonna remake most of my older props and trailers, since over time i managed to improve my texture-"painting" and uv-mapping efficiency alot so the older ones arent quite up to date.
especially with acess violations "trailer variation loader"-mod which enables alot of possibilities im gonna release a remake of my older ROOS wood carrier trailers soon.
maybe even today if im fast enough.
next up after that will be FALNS coal hoppers and EANOS-remake which will cotain alot of variable cargo (thinking scrap metal, coal, sand, etc)

yeah, it would make them quite heavy performance-wise, but as these would be props and everyone could place as many of them as he likes it wouldnt be necessarily a problem.
I'm excited to see whats coming :D

@robtox yea i thought about that but it would be alot of work to fit the geometry.
also the face count would get alot higher which hinders performance even more...
maybe in the future but right now im putting together a concept of something very new.

*cough* trans-ant *cough*

Awesome, thanks a lot! I really like these trailers and even thought to create them on my own - thats no longer necessary as I see.
One idea I had to these trailers is to make an open prop-version with a fitting forklifter etc for nice (un-)loading scenes. Maybe you want to try that. :)
