Like you said info has been scarce and often contradictory when it comes to how special works and how it increases even to this day.
Currently playing enhanced edition on Xbox One.
For some reason I thought there was a hard cap on how high special could reach until a certain point in the story as all 3 were at the exact same point. (like 65%)
Here I am, 83% completion with only main missions left to do before considering why the hell all three were still at 65% with 100% in every other stat hours later.
It's bizarre having max lung capacity and not special. :P
This shit should really be on the wiki. Such a simple bit of info that has some crazy amount of misinformation and reaching folktale level of nonsense surrounding it.
