Me and my friend have finally worked out that there is about 3761 gold bars in the vault and around the vault of the map bank.

The insane amount of 3761 gold bars in that tiny vault would equate to a grand total of $1,858,159,660. This is more than the gross domestic product of San Marino and one tenth of the GDP of Albania.

First off we had to count each full cabinet, which there are 8 of.

In each shelf of the cabinets, there are 2 groups of 32 gold bars. Which come to a total of 320 bars of gold per cabinet.

As each of the cabinets of gold, which are full, is 8, we can do 8*320 which comes to 2560. We could stop there as the total gold in those full cabinets are worth 1.2 billion dollars.

We decided to dig deeper.


As you can see, some of the gold is split up so we had to count each shelf.

There were 12 groups of gold in each of the shelves that we hadn't counted before.

12*64 is 768

Now we have a total of 2560+768 which is 3328.

From the photo again there are shelves stack with gold on only one side. We called these half-shelves or groups of bars.

There are 7 half shelves or groups of gold bars in the vault.

We found doing 7*32 will get us our total which is 224.

Now 224 plus the 3328 total meant we had found a sub-total of 3552 gold bars in the vault.

Here comes the tricky part.


As you can see there are many gold bars on the floor and in the cabinets which we had not counted.

In each cabinet there were either 10 or 11 gold bars in each one but not all of them. this meant we had good time doing:
11 in the first cabinet + 20 on the trolley + 9 + 11 on the next cabinet + another 11 in an empty one + 11 in another and 10 another + 8 at the top of a cabinet with 11 and another 11 below + another 11 plus 11 on the final cabinet.

At last we came to a finish.

But "what about the bars on the floor and in the hallway" you are thinking. There are 55 of them. And in the hallway, 19 of them.

This gives us finally a total of 3761 gold bars.

So we need the price of a gold bar on the 27/10/2018 at about 12:00, which is around $494,060, so 494,060*3761 is $1,858,159,660.
