Description

A great journey for the project CARS community members who met during the greatest racing event of the year: the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The trip was planned a year before the actual race which took place during the week of June 10th to 14th 2015, a month after project CARS was released world wide.  It was an honor to meet the community members coming from every corners of the world of which most of them only met on the pCARS discussion forums.

Note from me:
This is my second real life movie ever., and also my very first trip to Europe.  Like my previous movie (3 Days of Race), there was a lot to learn.  Since we were focusing on the trip, we were low on budget equipment and skills.  Mostly equipped with low end cameras and smartphone (with the exception of a few enthusiasts among us with more expensive gears), I tried to salvage every footage from our group and treat the low end footage to something better than the original.  Some shots still blurry, shaky or weird, but I think I did fine and my best under the circumstances.

The movie is letter boxed, and there's a reason behind this.  Most of the footage were very shaky and shot in 16:9.  Cropping from top and below was a smart way to hide artifacts and keep the quality as much as possible.  The de-shaking and color correction was a tremendous job.  This is about 2 months of overall work on this project, that's easily 300-400 hours of editing.
