Yeah, post-game! Now what?

This guide is made for those who made it to post-game and with some half-decent characters.
If you have already played a Disgaea, you know that the game always wants you to push your limits and Carnage Baal is waiting at the end of your voyage, to test the strenght of your units.

You need to get beefier, and it takes time and labor!

This guide will go through:

  • Sub-class mastering.
  • The Elite Four Squad.
  • Chara World / Aptitudes.
  • Recommended Evilities.
  • Asagi Farming.
Sub-classes Mastering
What are sub-classes?

They are basically generic characters' stairway to perfection. And unique characters can profit from them too! You can gain much from them.

What exactly?

Story short, generic as well as unique evilities and the main subject of this guide, stats!
The extra evilities gained from them can proove very useful for others (Greedy Disposition, Twin Head, Fatal Slash, ...)

Once you see the "Master!!!" on a sub-class, it means you got all benefits from this particular class!

How to max sub-classes efficiently

You'll first want a spell called "Geo-Blast", this beauty can one-shot a geo block (Only obtainable from a scroll). While in practice, it seems only used for extreme cases, it serves it purpose to give a whole lot of experience and sub-class experience IF and IF only the Item World you're in is a Carnage Item (You can easily get your first items through Alchemist) and the difficulty is set to 20.

Remember that you need to fill out every star of a sub-class to complete it. You can switch as much as you want through the Dark Assembly with every characters on the roster.

Reminder that not every stages of the Item World has a geo block, so you might want to reroll your run a bunch and that not every classes has the same sub-class experience cap (Dark Knight, Sage, Pirate, ...) and might need a few more runs to upgrade only one.

You won't have to stay in the hell zone! You can use a Mr. Gency to get out of here once you do your blasts!

Geo Blast just deals a deathblow to geo blocks
The Elite Four
What's the Elite Four?

It's a 4-man squad with the sole purpose of maximizing your growth-rate at MAX level and renders the Raised Flag item pointless.

How to profit from it?

It's simple, you have to start over from level 1 by reincarnating (and hopefully mastered all sub-classes) and level up to 9999 once again. Be aware that the process is much slower since the experience received while in this squad is depleted. Even though, I suppose Carnage Item World gives enough experience to compensate it.
Chara World and your Aptitudes
What's that?

Chara World is a featured which was first introduced in Disgaea 4 (Class World in D3), it reappears in D5 as a card-board game, where you are limited in turns and have to roll your way through enemies/your own clone (and a "devilish" Overlord?) to the goal. You can potentially gain a bunch of Aptitude points (up to 300% for each) and a bunch of other cool stuff.

The point is, you need to spend a bunch of Mana to get into the Chara World, it goes to 100 Mana (minimum) to 100k Mana (maximum) per runs and get the most out of every runs you do (even though mana won't be a problem when you really get into the post-game stuff.

Time to roll the dice!

First, I want you do fill some requirements:
  • Always do runs in Super Overlord Difficulty, it ain't that difficult, and your shadow clone scales with your stats anyway.
  • Try to summon Miss Evil through Dark Assembly, she probably destroys the panels as she mooves but she is squishy, spawns near your location and always give a Dowsing Rod item, which will prove useful in your runs!
  • Have some healing items and a bunch of dices, I already screwed up against my own clone because of bad rolls and my spamming habits.
  • Please, max out the Support group squad, it adds a bunch of turns to your counter.

Ya got it? Then you can stroll around the board with no problem (thinking you got good rolls, unless you are born unlucky).

Remember, always pick that difficulty.

Oooh, scary!

You can use this item while in Chara World, it gives +2% to all aptitudes!

If you are in a sticky situation, pop a Evil God's Voice or anything related to boost your chance killing the Shadow Clone, it gives +1% to all your stats.

By choosing to upgrade your aptitude, it gives +5% to the aptitude you have choosen, the cap is 300% (except HP, I think?).

Note: You can also find Hot Springs with a blue panel, while you can also have the Imp/Orc event which might spawn 2 normal enemies or 2 clones (which means you can have 2 more % to all your aptitudes.)
Stats Boosting Evilities
Before going on with that section

Evilities are separated into multiple types:
  • Unique characters with Unique Evilities.
  • Unique characters with Common Evilities.
  • Generic characters with Unique/Common Evilities.

While you can unlock both generic characters' evilities with submastering, unique characters's common evilities requires a run in Chara World. But unique evilities such as Absorption from Valvatorez cannot be learned by anyone else than him.

This section will then mostly talk about learnable evilities that can boost significantly your stats throughout the game :

Violence ( Void Dark's Common Evility)

Boost all stats by 50% but you gain 50% less EXP. Perfect when you finish levelling up to level 9999.

Heavy stance (Dark Knight's Common Evility)

Boost all stats by 30% but you cannot be lifted. I mean, unless you are in weird map in Item World or something else, why do you need to be lifted? (someone who never used tower attacks btw)

Greedy Disposition (Nether Noble's Unique Evility)

Each HL digit gives 3% boost to all stats (10 digits= 30% boost). Who needs money maps when you can sell carnage items for billions?

Shaking Excitement (Warrior's Common Evility)

Boost all your stats by 3% for each enemies on the map, so if you do the Carnage Asagi map, with 100 of 'em around, just do the math.

Tyrant (Valvatorez's Common Evility)

While it doesn't boost your own stats, it boosts your weapon's ones instead by 30%. Might not be effective till you get level 500 weaponry though.

Twin Heads (Twin Dragon's Unique Evility)

Ain't boosting your stats, but you can attack two times in a row if you don't moove. Makes the whole grinding process faster.

Hasty Rush (Laharl-Chan's Common Evility)

Get an another chance to attack right at the beginning of the stage. Even faster!

Fatal Slash (Rabit's Common Evility)

This evility can make you oneshot enemies who have less SPD than you (30% chance to get a deathblow).

The Asagi Farm - Killing Time
Now let's get to work this time!

Let's get to the requirements first, since I want this to be efficiently for everyone

  • You'll want a max level'd Sage with decent enough stats and a few evilities (See the screenshots
    below)
  • You probably also want a powerful unit which wil act as an interrogator, this will be talked over Interrogation Time part.
  • A Maid with her own evilities is also recommended this will be talked over The Final Step part.
  • For the love of god, I hope you still have the megaphone, this item is a blessing to capture people, so put it as a secondary for the Sage.
  • Some 100 Days old Elixir Curry to boost your HP by a large margin.
  • And last, I hope you like Asagi, because you're going to fight 100 copies of her over and over and over and ...

Trust me, you'll need it!

I used Carnage Elixir for the Curry, gives a hell of a HP boost and regen!

Makai Wars delayed for 5 centuries, sorry guys.

Why would I farm this particular stage?

This stage holds a lot of fragments of power, that means that every enemies which are killed in Revenge mode holds one of them! And since I want you to do a mass killing in one/two turn(s), the Sage is just what you need.

Pre-requesites evilities (the Explorer one is not required and can be replaced)

Behold the power....

Of Land Decimator!
So yeah, you get a chance to deathblow every enemies on the map (except the boss) if they have less SPD than you, plus you can attack twice a turn if you don't moove and cherry on top, if you set Izuna Overload (Comet Disaster) on your Sage, you can send a 3rd wave of imminent destruction.
Be careful though...

The last Asagi is pretty spongy and has quite the HIT (and uh, don't use Tera Star, she has resistance against it, I'm just lazy to get a another spell)

Once you are done with everyone, you should get this:

Rinse and repeat to get max prisoners!
The Asagi Farm - Interrogation Time
Press (X) to doubt

Remember about your own interrogator? Well, it's his turn to make the job done.

You want your interrogator to be powerful enough to succesfully threaten them

Did you strike them all out? It's extraction time then!

1 full extraction= 1 magic extract

You can condensate all your fragments/extracts through Dark Assembly
The Asagi Farm - The Final Step
Almost there!

Now your Maid is about to conclude your grinding session by simply using your fragments/extracts.
You need to know that the Maid can use 2 items per turns, has also an evility which makes her use a magic extract on AoE so multiply units can benefit from the bonus stats.

You don't even need to max her out, just the evilities, that's all.

The effects

Well? Just get onto a peaceful map, form a cross (5 characters at max), and pop the extracts and fragments!

Reminder that there's a limits to stats. (Around 40 million without any equipment)

Sandcano's Challenge Stage is also good for quickly maxing weapon masteries, since you can easily have a large number normal of attacks. Your armour will max very fast due to all the attacks, and your weapon will train from the counters. Since you will one hit each enemy, a new one will move into place, and launch a new attack. The result is lots of attacks in a single round.

Sandcano's Challenge Stage is a good place to start maxing classes as soon as you hit post-game. All the enemies there have 1 HP, and there is a ton of them. Swift Stance (20 counter attacks if you defend) and a weapon with 2 or greater range can turn it into a bit of an AFK training stage, since you will counter and likely kill 20ish enemies each round if you just defend. Combine it with Ripple Impact (damage spreads from any adjacent unit that is damage), and a spear, and your unit will wipe out the whole map in a turn or two. Hitting the geo symbol will cause a lethal wave of damage that will kill a large portion of the enemies, and then a new group will move into that same space, trigger a new counter attack , and the spear will hit the geo symbol again.

This might be a bit late to the party, but giving every unit in a large squad, like the foot solider one, Prinny Instructor and the unit you want to raise Prinny Hat, and you can easily max a class in one post-game battle. You can also go from level 1 to 9999 if you combine it with other exp boosting stuff and clear a stage like Martial Training 3 at 3*.

The Evility Taste of Victory, is also wonderful for grinding since it gives 1% to stats fro each time a map has been beaten, to a max of 100%. It also only takes 1 slot, so it is super awesome for maps you have done a lot. The only down side is that it is hard to get. It is found either as a lucky drop, or from Demon tier Chara world rewards.

I would like to add that a great strategy for maxing stats is using Trash Pickup (Raspberyl evility) as a tower on a 20 star Carnage Elixir. Only the bottom of the tower needs Trash Pickup. There is much more, "trash," in the Item World than Geo Symbols (Trash Pickup even one shots Geo Symbols) and the class experience is the same.

Since it isn't specifically explained- note that the subclass mastery is very important especially for the base stats you get while reincarnating. You may notice that the bonus stats get higher the more levels you bank, but thats it. ALL the base stats get significantly larger each time you master a class.

After you start maxing out even a couple of subclasses you should start seeing all your base stats start off in the hundreds when reincarnating, before even adding in your bonuses.

The asagi sage farming setup he suggests works really well for this too (megaphone is a reward from the item world total levels delved ~1600 or so). While farming on 2 star difficulty my sage is maxing out an entire subclass mastery in a single turn. This can easily turn your sage into your strongest character while you grind for the shards / extracts

Geo Blast is learned by Sages, Pirates, and Nine-Tails, not just scrolls. Raspberyl also learns an Evilitiy that lets her deathblow any object in the item world (including geo symbols).
