Introduction
Welcome To My Guide!
Here you can learn more about the Pyromancer Build I made with custom coloring for the Protag.

The Weapons
Now the first thing in being a Pyromancer is to have the right weapons.
Not the whimpy sword/shield/bow loadouts with traps.

Now what you'd want in a Pyromancer Loadout is:
1. Pyrotechnics
A great long ranged weapon the scales with only Tactics. This weapon's blueprint is dropped by the Caster's of the Slumbering Sanctuary and costs 60 Cells to unlock and has a drop chance of 1.7% and it's my personal favorite in my Pyromancer Build.

2. Fire Blast
Another good mid ranged weapon that scales with both Tactics and Brutality. This weapon's blueprint is dropped by the Masker's of the Prison Depths, Graveyard, and (much like the Caster's) the Slumbering Sanctuary. It costs 20 Cells to unlock and has a drop chance of 1.7% and it is a great close range alternative to Pyrotechnics.

3. Flamethrower Turret
A good Low-Mid ranged weapon that also scales with both Tactics and Brutality. This turret's blueprint is dropped by the Shockers of the Ossuary. It costs 30 Cells to unlock and has a drop chance of 0.4% and it can be a promising partner with Fire Blast or Pyrotechnics.

4. Fire Grenade
A good mid ranged weapon that scales with Brutality. This weapon's blueprint is dropped by the Grenadiers of the Prisoner's Quarters and the Promenade Of The Condemned. It costs 20 Cells to unlock and has a drop chance of 1.7% and it is a great way to light up your enemies very quickly.

There are some good alternatives to these weapons though:
1. Torch
A more up-close and personal fire-weapon that scales with Brutality. This weapon's blueprint is dropped by the Spawners of the Ossuary. It costs 30 Cells to unlock and has a drop chance of 1.7% and it's a better weapon to use if you are going Full Brutality.

2. Fire Brands
Like a torch that can be thrown the Fire Brands is a semi-ranged weapon that scales with both Tactics and Brutality. The weapon itself is already unlocked from the beggining of the game. And can be well accompanied with the Oil Grenade.

3. The Oil Grenade
This could be better replaced with the Fire Grenade but since the main loadout uses Pyrotechnics which only lights up the ground when it hits a wall i'm placing it here as an alternative. This grenade scales with Brutality and it's respective blueprint is dropped by the Hammers of the Prison Depths. It costs 20 Cells to unlock and has a drop chance of 0.4% and will be a good companion with the Fire Brands.

The Playstyle
Most of what's shown here will hopefully help you form your own playstyle for this build.

Here Are...
The Tips: Weapons
  • Since the fireballs are long range, you're safe from enemies that attack at melee range.
  • The Flamethrower Turret is basically another dual-casting Fire Blast so you can clear out multiple floors if need be or a single floor much faster than normal.
  • The Oil Grenade can be used along with the Fire Brands or the Fire Grenade for a fast barbeque.
  • The Torch scales on Brutality and along with Sadism you will basically have free DPS.

The Tips: Mutations
  • Since Pyrotechnics is a Tactics weapon, the starting mutation Sadism is a great choice if you're going for a Brutality Build because its effects can allow Pyrotechnics to scale on Brutality as well.
  • Effeciency is a good mutation if you feel that the cooldown time of the turrets are too long.
  • Fireworks Technician is a must if you use grenades often.
The Armor
The screenshots that are shown here show the default armor with different colors more befitting for a pyromancer.

How I got these colors was by editing Hex Values.

The Steps:
  • Find a Hex Value editor, I use HxD[mh-nexus.de]

  • Find an image program that can show the hex values, i'd recommend getpaint.net.

  • Open up "More" in the bottom left window, you can see in the RGB section theres a "Hex" there, next to that you can see the hex value for any color you currently have selected.

  • Next you have to find where the values are located, in HxD you can search for the offset 6CB8CB which can easily be navigated to in the Search>Goto>6CB8CB.

  • Next you need to know which values need to be replaced. There is a whole map of these values originally shown in a Hex Editing Guide for Dead Cells on Steam by Clam Johnson.

Here is a list of all the Hex Values of the colors you see in the screenshots (and in the banner), you could use these or you can find your own using the steps above.

Hex Values of Pyromancer Armor:
1.
  • FF6A00
  • 650C34

2.
  • 474747
  • 111111

3.
  • 212121
  • 111111

4.
  • 3F3F3F
  • 0C0C0C

5.
  • 90D1D5
  • 40173C

Personally, I like using the oil sword as well as pyrotechnics. The oil sword grants free crits if you hit someone who's on fire, and also douses them in fire, meaning extra fire damage.
