Tutorial Manual HEX Edit Black Bars Removal in AC:Odyssey

Software Requirements:
1.HxD https://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/
2.ResHex (optional)


How to?

1. Open Program HxD > Click File and Open ACOdyssey.exe

2. Ctrl+F > Click "Hex Values" > Click Search Direction "All" > Write 39 8E E3 3F
Also in HxD I recommend ctrl+R instead of ctrl+F much easier this way.

3. change EVERY Instance and Replace Value With Hex Your Aspect Ratio Res , Here are the list

2560x1080 = 26 B4 17 40
3440x1440 = 8E E3 18 40
3840x1080 = 39 8E 63 40

4. Save and play

5:4 should be 00 00 A0 3F, but there is no guarantee higher aspect ratios work the same way as wider.

hex editor cant find 39 8E E3 3F and its back to black bars during cutscenes etc. any fix for this up yet?
