King Alexian XXXVII
King Alexian is an absolute powerhouse of a fighter, but that immense power comes at a cost. Alexian is slow, many of his Styles subtract priority. He doesn't have much range, other than what comes on the standard bases; all of his styles have +0 range modifiers.

This doesn't mean Alexian is competely stuck in the mud, though...the Steeled base lets you advance toward your opponent based on how much damage you've taken in the current beat. This means going slow is a benefit...can't advance based on taking damage if you've haven't taken damage after all! Gestalt and Stalwart styles also come with some bonus movement effects.

Alexian is a pretty simple fighter for a newcomer to wrap their head around; his Unique Ability is pretty simple; if you damage your opponent, they receive a token from you. They can then ante that token to boost their own Power and Priority. Not a whole lot of bookkeeping for you to keep track of, and the onus of using tokens falls on your opponent, not you.

So what do you need to keep track of with Alexian's Chivalry ability? Simply put, a few BIG hits will serve you better than many small ones. Every time you hit your opponent, you hand them a boost. But it will be harder for them to capitalize on that boost if you KO them in only 4 or 5 big strong hits.

Alexian is going to struggle to make contact with more nimble characters, or characters that perform better at range. If Stalwart and/or Drive is busy cycling through your discards, your opponent can comfortably sit outside your range and plink away at you with minimal risk. Save these two cards for a time when your opponent is backed into a corner, or has their own movement options restricted by their discards.
