Trails and Rocks

Beskrivelse
This was my first map. I built and tweaked the rock trail (to your right when you start) for about a month, and then realized I had only covered about a third of the map without a clue what to do with the rest of the map.
So I decided to stop and build smaller less demanding maps that I could finish and release in a more reasonable amount of time. In the same period of time since I have completed 12 maps and released 11; one map is too large to work in the game (126sqx126sq, this map is 50sqx50sq).

Next to the house to your right is the beginning of a rock trail. Next to the house to your left is the beginning of a long hilly trail. Both end together straight out front at the other end of the clearing. In the clearing are rocks to climb and a mudpit. (Second screenshot is taken from the starting point.)

I feel there is still some tweaking of the map to do, which I will continue to do over the next few days.

Another top notch build friend, the grass roads was a good trail session for sures, and I really digged the rock trail passage as well, nice steep departures.:steamhappy:

SC is an excdellent movie. Dog Soldiers wasn't filmed in Scotia, well not much, most was filmed in Germany or Luxemburg I think. Awesome movie too. However, there are still wolves in Scotland!

'Scottish Highlands'; ever seen the movie Dog Soldiers? Southern Comfort is an older similar type of movie in the swamps of Louisiana.

They are fantastically detailed. I have made a few 'maps' for Call-to-Arms, but that must by way easier than making this kind of map.

Thank you Darren. I enjoy making the maps with the hope that the players witll enjoy exploring them.
This map was my first, my learning to make all the others. Experienced all the problems possible while making it, and how to correct them. Now I rarely have a problem, and if i do I can fix it very quickly.
I think I finished the large map I mentioned below. Published it as friends only and about to test it... It isn't a fun map like this one, it is a hard map for people that like challenges.

They are extra cool maps. You give them a fantastic level of detail. Impressive. Considering that I am a professional model maker, and hardly ever impressed, you must be pretty good.
