It looks like the connection point might be the block behind the docking port on the part. You can hold ALT down and hover over and select the docking port to connect it.

Sorry for the lazy and dark screenshot, but here you can see it. maybe I did something wrong.
You mentioned them being "old" tesla modular; where can i find the new ones? (collection?)

Not sure why that would be happening. Make sure that the connection points are selected when copying and pasting. I haven't touched the old tesla modular sections in awhile and I don't remember anyone else having the issue. Maybe I am misunderstanding?

Hi Tesla,
somehow many the parts of this modular ship pack/series do not align properly. when trying to put stuff onto another, or this junction box template, it merges with the existing block for .5 blocks and will not connect. do you know the reason for this?
