Basics
Incase Kulve is actually coming this month or early next month or after Halloween Event. I would like to write some pretty basics guide.

Technically this is a siege game to strip her. yeap you didn't hear it wrong its a stripping game in some sense and break her horn fully.

1) Where do you start everything?
Go to an expedition on any of the island. find the golden scrap on the expedition then
go to Gathering Hub speak to hub lass and Start kulve taroth siege.

Note:
Please press esc button (probably thats the button you need to skip its cutscene), or options if you use DS4. because its cutscene restart everysingle time you replay the quest. The hunt itself was spread into 4 area.

2) There are Pursuit and Reward Points/Levels.

Pursuit level :

It's increased based on how many parts that people on the Session , collecting footprints and her golden scrap.. or even moving to the next area (yes its a session based siege) , you can go at max with 4 parties with 4 people per parties, if other parties break kulve's part it will add to the points. Max Pursuit points is 6.

What is the purpose of the Pursuit level?
It makes Kulve taroth parts easier to break and prolong its present. because in the final area if you are failed to manage to break the horn your reward points will be lower of course. Although its possible to break her horn at pursuit level 1. i am not recommending that because too much resources and needs actual good team mate on discord or something.

Rewards Points:

Its started from level 1 and maxed at lvl 17. as for how to get reward points it depends again on how many parts you break etc.

TBH it is kinda rng for me. it's just makes your "loot box" better. they said. but my personal opinion its just rng. sometimes you get 3 "golden loot box" at level 15 and 1 "golden loot box" at level 17.

3 What did you get from the loot boxes?

There are 3 type of "loot boxes":
- bronze (dissolved weapon) chance for rarity 5-6 weap
- silver (melded weapon) chance for rarity 6-8 weap
- gold (sublimed weapon) higher chance i think for rarity 7-8 weapon.

after the siege ended and your team breaks the horn fully. you will return to gathering hub appraise your loot boxes and pray that rng blesses you. most of the best weapon are rarity 7's. aside from the weapon there are some layered armor tickets, kulve material and hard armor sphere as well.

Note:
you can carve its broken horn. 50 % of the time it gives you melded weapon

The Siege
Note before starting:
Mostly you have to do the siege for 2 times to actually break the horn fully. and the guide may be updated depends on the feed back.

1ST SIEGE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

AREA 1 :
Now the siege it self started on Area 1. Kulve will move around sometimes like hiding into another dimension via a dimensional tunnel :p and move to another tunnel. you can't see where it is going at the 1st siege so you have to make use of the beetle wedges. It doesnt matter how many research level you have. At Pursuit level 1 you can't see her on the mini map on the 1st area.

What you need to do in area 1.

1) 1-2 people Get 7 dragon pods by kicking the endemic life golden crabs or something like that. the rest can take any pods they want. there is a reason for that
2) Fill the cannons on area 1 and shoot kulve taroth with the cannon when it passed the area.
3) There is a couple of Boulder do drop by using the pods/ranged attack. drop it.
4) Collect foot prints and it's left over golden scraps. mind that there are golden gajalaka that
disturb you time to time.
5) Bring part breaker skill and thunder weapon if you want. i did it without those. its optional.
There are LBG Users on 1st siege with the kadachi weapon. becausef it can
sleep kulve and break parts easier in 1 go.

Note: Part breaker works on the mantle better than the "naked" version.

What you don't do:
1) Dont hastily shoot the cannon when it's downed either because it's KO'd or falling boulder
effect. because it won't reach the head. you want to aim her head with the cannon.
2) Try not to hit her chest/bra until she moved into the tunnel 1 or 2 x for efficiency. it will be
explained on area 2.

Area 2 :

Now you can restock by returning to the camp or changing weapons and stuff because there will be shortcuts to area 2. Kulve taroth should be on like "molten" mode when starting on area 2 mostly unless its already red for a long time in area 1.

What you need to do in area 2.
1) Attack her chest to make her enter the molten mode if its not red yet.
it glows magma red when it entered the molten mode. if its already red then ATTACCCCKKK.
It's should be red / almost red if you dont make it red at Area 1.

2) Break everything literally. You can break her sleeve left and right, upper skirt left and right ,
lower skirt (tail) left and right, and bra left and right :p

3) You can break the Golden cover of her horn using ranged weapon is better. but if you wanted to
do it as melee its fine. and you can mount it to make her goes down as well. yeap even her horn
got covered as well, and when the golden horn coating is gone you can carve it for kulve's
material.

4) She will do like puking lava thing. Now its the time to use the dragon pod to her head and it will
knock her down. note there are 3 different animation of lava puking.
- The 1st one is to the side. you can shoot dragon pod here (need further test)

- 2nd one is when she was like wake up and puke and at the end of the animation
the head stay still and she is fully standing. you shoot dragon pod to her face to K.O em

- 3rd one when she puke for a bit and doing a 360 head twist (she is like half standing).
you can't Ko her on this one.
After a while, she should be moving to area 3. Don't forget to collect the scraps and footprints
as well and Drink cool drinks before entering area 3.

Note: - You can easily slide and mount or hanging on the edge and mount on this area.
- There is a chance for Kulve to dig into the ground and recover all their parts esp in siege 2.
It digs and regen of all of its part on area 2 and 3.
- Equipping Fireproof mantle would be great for Area 3

Area 3:
There are 3 boulders to K.O her. As for the rest it's the same with phase 2. There is the lava too like elder recess lava. you can deal quite alot of environmental damage if you drop the boulder when the lava comes out. If you manage to make her "naked" then she will move to area 4 and there is a notification "Reached Area 4". Else the quest ended with kulve is running away.

Whats Next?
This is the thing that Japanese PS players do. collect all the scraps and everything's left and
Return from Quest. Yes return from quest so you can actually destroy its horn with ease. IF there are 2-3 parties already doing the same with your team your pursuit level should be around 5-6.
and lets go again to .........

2nd SIEGE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Its pretty much the same until area 4 but there is some little tips.

At 1st area if you think you can break the horn starting at area 2 at ease with your team then just wait at area 2.

You don't need to do anything because it will move to area 2 on its own. This is only works if the pursuit level is 5-6. Depends on your lobbies/sessions. I don't recommend doing that on pursuit level 3-4 because it takes longer for her to reach area 2 and wasted your time.

Now Onto area 4 shall we~

Area 4:
Before entering area 4 you can restock and bring large barrel bomb with the shroom to craft more bombs on the fly.

Things you have to do :

1) Sleep ammo Kulve
If your team have them. It's optional but its efficent. Put your bombs on the
tails and smack'em until her tail is broken for more points.

2) Mount em.
You can climb the middle pillar and there are climbable walls on right side and left side of the
area.

3) Its time to go all out. if you can sleep her again and craft more Mega barrel bomb its good.
Paralyze, KO. give everything you got including the dragon pods when she puked.

4) For Melee Users you can cut the tail/ break it. then hit the chest or the head if you can wall
climb

You break the horn the cut scene happens and Return to astera to talk to hublass get your loot
boxes. Appraise them and then the pursuit and reward level of Kulve will return to 1 and repeat
from Siege 1. They give you bushi ticket for bushi layered armor as well. you only need a couple
of those to get 2 version of bushi layered armor

There it is. its simple. good luck trying to fight rng

Updated 28/9/18: due to people feed back
Update 30/9/18: More feedback update. Plan to add the pics later on when its launched on pc

FAQ Kinda
Because I believe there will be questions like this :

1) i've joined the kulve session and the pursuit at lvl 1. with some people at Pursuit level 1 and
there is a party with only 3 people with Pursuit level 6 still doing it. can i join them to get lvl 6
pursuit level?
Answer : No. The pursuit level restarts after the horn break. if there is lvl 1 pursuit on the siege it
means the horn has been broke. you can't joint the lvl 6 siege, however you can on the
Parties that on Pursuit level 1.

2) If my current session got pursuit level 3 and I move to another session. Do we start at level 3?
Answer : No. Pursuit levels are tied to the sesssions. so move to another session at your own
risk.

3) If I am dc-ing at the middle of the fight then return to the Hub what will happen?
Answer : your level reward will be summed up and you need to appraise your lootboxes. and
the siege is restarted

4) If i fail to break Kulve's horn at Pursuit level 4/5/6 what do i do?
Answer: Kulve will run away and its the same with question Number 3. Reward level will be
summed up and the siege is restarted (considered as finished)

5) How to get this weapon or that weapon?
Answer: RNG. pray or something or find you nearest priest to bless you.

6) Best skills to get?
Part breaker , heavy arti, felyne bombardier for 1st area. ELse felyne insurance would be good

7) Noteable weapon?
HBG: Taroth Assault "Glutton"
Diablos weapon variant : Rarity 7 weapon with "Horn" extension attached to its name.
ex: Taroth Strongarm "Horn"
Bow : The Taroth Arrow Thunder and Water and Fire for elementals. Fire won't be on 1st
update i think.
LS, SA and IG: I think The best for the 1st time its launched on ps are paralysis type.

It's alrite. sooner or later people will need it. and after kulve lunastra launched i will make the behe and exbehe may be more inclined to exbehe since normal behe is not a threat

There is no proof Kulve is coming so no point to throw the guide early :deadweight:

@NomNomKuma Thanks for the feedback and the compliment. and as for the destroyer jewel let's just say it works for both naked and coated. its just when its coated it works better. because part breaker works in any kind of situation and any monster
Ordaeli 29 Sep, 2018 @ 9:06pm
Oh right. I didn't remember that part. Or maybe I skipped it when reading the guide.

Oh, and I should have added: Good guide overall. Forgot to add this in my previous comments :p
OmegaV-Rex  [author] 29 Sep, 2018 @ 8:10pm
@NomNomKuma for the 1st part i think i already write it in somesense on Pursuit level section. because the time to do 2 quests combined with LV 1 pursuit kill is about the same.

as for part 2 i will add that i forgot she can regen when i wrote those
Ordaeli 29 Sep, 2018 @ 1:49pm
As an added information: During phase 3, Kulve will get "naked" once 5 parts of her mantle are broken simultaneously.
When she digs, she completely regenerates the life of broken parts, but parts that are not broken do not get "healed"

Might also have missed it, but the Destroyer skill only works against the mantle. Wich means that it's pretty much useless in phase 4, since the "horn break" is actually a health threshold. (so you can hit anywhere. But the head being the weak point makes it faster.) So if you use specific sets for phase 1-3 and phase 4, you can get rid of it on the phase 4 set.
Ordaeli 29 Sep, 2018 @ 1:48pm
If you have a good team, you can farm pursuit 1 kulve while making sure to break every part of her mantle at least once, wich will guarantee at least reward lvl 14. This is at that reward level that you get the maximum of gold boxes as reward. Wich are the ones likely to contain the weapons you want. You just need to be able to dish 45k damage on her last phase before she flees. (or 37k5 if horns are chipped before, since horn damage up until the chip (at 8k5 on pursuit 1) are counted towards the health threshold of phase 4.
(PS: Obviously you don't wanna farm pursuit 1 KT if you're in a public lobby with 16 other people, since if the others teams don't manage to reach at least reward level 14 when your team break the horns, they'll get way less rewards when they finish their run. Doing it in a private session is the nicer option.)
"JinJinx: Mathalos Main" on Youtube has some very good guides to farm Pursuit 1 KT if you need more detailed informations.
OmegaV-Rex  [author] 27 Sep, 2018 @ 9:20pm
welp i didn't recommend any special weapon because they can go with whatever they wanted to begin with.because if they can made it with the tempered against non tempered KT should be easy. if they can't and cart 3 times it means bad luck or lack of the attack pattern knowledge badly.

unlike ex behe that actually need certain of weapon to tank. to heal , and dps.
iWS RukaFurie 27 Sep, 2018 @ 9:17pm
Kirin's LBG seems recommended as second version of "Styx"

Especially for Stage 1 - 3
OmegaV-Rex  [author] 27 Sep, 2018 @ 8:17pm
as for HBG/LBG. LBG sleep em like i said over here at phase 4. as for HBG just think it as a normal hunt. if you are fine with knocking your team mates out then go for cluster. else sticky is cool
