Introduction
Welcome to my Guide for obtaining all achievements of Warhammer 2. The goal of the guide is to help players obtain any number achievements whether it is one that eludes them or a whole bunch. It has been divided into sections based on race and extras. Special DLC requirements will also be mentioned. Using the search feature on control + f also might help you. Take note that this guide was last updated just after the release of the Vampire Coast DLC so it has not been updated to include anything else. I will try to update this as soon as possible.

This guide was mainly written on my experience of each achievement and any suggestions that i have. If you think there are easier and better solutions please mention in the comments bellow. I personally encountered no bugs or broken achievements however this may not be the same for everyone. Again if you are having issues please put them down below so everyone can realise. I will correctly mention anyone who contributes in the guide.

One last thing is Mods
Like that Warhammer 1 this game has many different mods to enhance gameplay. From minor things such as reskinning troops to changing entire mechanics. Mods and achievements are completely compatible so you can use them as you desire. While there are no mods that can directly earn you achievements there are some that can make the game very easy such as removing mechanics like upkeep. If you want to use these then so be it though I don’t encourage it as the game may not be as fun or satisfying

Remember to have fun when earning these achievements. If you are not having fun then you need to question if what you are doing is really worth it. Enjoy the game and happy hunting.

I would like to thank Brachdragon for his contributions to the guide as well as many other commentors who helped make this guide better
High Elves
These are the achievements directly linked to High elves most of these are easier to achieve as Tyrion rather than the others. Please take note that you must be playing as a high elf faction for these to unlock. None of the others will be able to unlock these.

Loremaster of Hoeth
Construct the White Tower of Hoeth.

The White tower of Hoeth needs to be build in the settlement of same name. It requires settlement level of 5 to construct. It is located not far from Tyrion’s starting location and will usually full under his control at some point. Still counts if the settlement is taken control and the building is already constructed.

Tiranoc Charioteer
Construct the Hall of Charioteers in the city of Tor Anroc.

The Hall of charioteers in Tor Anlec requires a settlement level of 5 to construct. It is located not far from Tyrion’s starting location and will usually full under his control at some point. Still counts if the settlement is taken control and the building is already constructed.

Asur Ambassador
Own at least 5 Elven Embassies.

The Elven Embassy is located in the economic section in the building menu. Embassy’s require a level 3 settlement and only have no required buildings beforehand. Embassies provide nice bonuses to trade and ports as well as heroes so this should come naturally with in a campaign.

Colonial Governor
Own at least 3 Thriving Elven Colonies.

The Elven colonies are located in the settlement section of certain settlements. Any High Elven looking settlement outside of Uthlaan is an Elven settlement so this achievement will take you all around the world. As a thriving settlement is the tier 5 settlement upgrade there are only 3 provincial capitals that can be thriving colonies. these are Turtle isle(Telics start), tower of dawn(fortress of dawn start) and Tor Elesor(Tor Elsors starting location). Due to all three being located in the south side of the map it may be easier to play as Telcis. It’s unlikely that their factions will be destroyed so they can be easily confederated later in the game. If you don’t want to confederate you can just send a lot of troops and overrun as it is unlikely that they will have a lot of armies. this may a better one to do later in the game.

Lothern Sea Helm
Construct the Gates of Lothern in the High Elf capital of Lothern.

The Gates of Lothern requires settlement level of 5 to construct. It is Tyrions starting location so it’s easiest done as him. Still counts if the settlement is taken control and the building is already constructed.

The End of Suffering
Occupy or raze the Dark Elf capital of Naggarond in the Eye of the Vortex Campaign.

This achievement can be challenging as Naggrond are usually one of the strongest factions on the map. The free DLC faction Nagarythe spawn the closest to the city however they can be fairly challenging to play. As it is a capital it will be heavily defended so you will require a few armies to take the city. Since this achievement can be done at any point you can wait to late game and just overrun them with troops. Naggarond does not need to control the city in order for this achievement to count. Also in the first game there were issue with sacking then occupying I’m not sure if it is the same here so it is best just to not sack.

Dragon Lord
Recruit a Star Dragon.

In order to recruit a star dragon the player requires a tier 5 city as well as the building dragon keep. Star dragons are among the most powerful units in the game so it is only natural that a high elf player will want to recruit these.

Phoenix Lord
Recruit a Frostheart Phoenix.

In order to recruit this unit the player requires a tier 4 city as well as the building Temple of Asuryan. While they are not dragons Phoenixes are useful in their own right.

Keeper of the Eternal Fire
Have at least 5 Phoenix Guard units within a single army.

In order to recruit this unit the player requires a tier 5 city as well as the building Sanctuary of Asuryan. Phoenix guards are among the best infantry in the game and are extremely effective against at taking down monsters and cavalry. Some factions like to spam this unit in the late game so confederating with them might auto give this to you.

Librarian
Research 10 technologies.

Mage
Research 25 technologies.

Archmage
Research 50 technologies.

Archmage will take some time to unlock. To unlock all of the achievements many different buildings will be required so make sure all of them are created where possible. There are 66 technologies so 16 of them can be skipped however this will still take some time. It will most likely result in you just sitting at the end hitting end turn in order to earn this one.

Asur Prince
Win a singleplayer campaign.

Phoenix King
Win a singleplayer campaign on Very Hard or Legendary difficulty.

I won’t explain how to win as high elves there are already plenty of guides that can do that for you. I am not sure if this may only be done on vortex campaign or if Mortal empires can count. Vortex campaign isn't so bad because even if you fall behind in the race you can still win by winning a generally easy quest battle so don’t be afraid to take your time. If you are struggling mods might help you. In my opinion Tyron is the least challenging of the High elf lords to play.

Dark Elves
These are the achievements directly linked to Dark elves most of these are easier to achieve as Malekith rather than the others. Please take note that you must be playing as a Dark elf faction for these to unlock. None of the others will be able to unlock these.

Tyrant of Tor Anlec
Construct the Black Citadel of Anlec in the city of Tor Anlec.

The Black Citadel of Anlec requires a settlement level of 5 to construct. This is a very challenging and time consuming achievement to earn. The reason for this is Tor Anlec is located in a wasteland which is a uninhabitable climate for both High elves and Dark Elves. This means public order, construction, time and cost and growth are all lower than normal. It is also located in Ulthaan which is controlled by hostile high elves. In order to hold this settlement you will need to launch an invasion of Ulthaan so I don’t recommend going for this until later in the game. It is likely that you will be waiting for this even after your technology achievements are done. Remember to use commandants, lords and heroes to your advantage. Still counts if the settlement is taken control and the building is already constructed.

Tyrant of Naggarond
Construct the Black Tower of Malekith in the Dark Elf capital of Naggarond.

The Black tower of Malekith requires a settlement level of 5 to construct. Located in the capital this achievement shouldn't be difficult to obtain and it provides a nice buff to the faction. Still counts if the settlement is taken over and the building is already constructed

Black Ark Corsair
Construct a Black Ark and upgrade it to the maximum level.

To earn this achievement you are required to construct a black ark and build the gargantuan black ark upgrade. This is the tier 5 upgrade the black ark. In order to construct a black the Sacrifice to Mathlann rite must be performed and then a black ark can be purchased from a port. You must wait to obtain enough growth to level the black ark up. This can be quickly done with the aid of technologies. Black arks are useful mobile bases which can provide nice support to armies from the ground. It can be useful to have one site near your capital as Malekith so support can provided verse the armies that spawn during the ritual. This achievement will take some time but isn't hard.

Dark Mother Superior
Construct the Convent of Sorcery in the city of Ghrond.

The Dark Convent of sorcery requires a settlement of level 5 to construct and it replaces the standard sorcerer building. Ghrond is located near 2 of the three playable Dark elf factions and is usually one of earlier targets due to is ritual site. Still counts if already constructed when settlement is taken control of

Slaver
Own at least 3 Slave Markets.

Slave Trader
Own at least 10 Slave Markets.

Slave markets require settlement level 4 to construct so they must be built in provincial capitals. They provide much needed boost to income so many of your capitals might end up having them anyway. This one shouldn't be difficult to earn. The hardest part will be only 10 capitals which will come from controlling Nagaroth.

Best Served Cold
Occupy or raze the fortress city of Lothern in the Eye of the Vortex Campaign.

To earn this achievement you have to occupy or raze the high elf faction Lothern's capital, Lothern located in the heart of their territory. This achievement can be challenging as Lothern are usually one of the strongest factions on the map. As it is a capital it will be heavily defended so you will require a few armies to take the city. Since this achievement can be done at any point you can wait to late game and just overrun them with troops. Lothern does not need to control the city in order for this achievement to count. Also in the first game there were issue with sacking then occupying I’m not sure if it is the same here so it is best just to not sack.

Dark Dragon Lord
Recruit a Black Dragon.

Black dragons require a tier 5 settlement as well as the dragon hatchery building. Black dragons are powerful flying monsters that can easily devastate soldiers. They are amongst the most power dark elf troop so players should be aiming to get them anyway. Not sure if it was intended by I unlocked this achievement when black dragon became part of a garrison.

Soul Eater
Recruit a Cold One Dread Knight unit.

Cold one dread knights require a tier 5 settlement as well as the palace of the dread knight building. Dread knights are powerful cavalry that can quickly chew through armoured units. That can deal with infantry much better than most cavalry in the game

Burnt to Cinders
Have at least 3 War Hydras within a single army.

War hydras require a tier 4 settlement as well as the Beast masters stables building. Hydras are powerful front -lining infantry destroying monsters that have the added bonus of regeneration. They can prove too effective for any dark elf army. As an added note Morathi begins with a hydra in her army.

Seer
Research 10 technologies.

Sorceress
Research 25 technologies.

Supreme Sorceress
Research 45 technologies.

Supreme Sorceress will take some time to unlock. To unlock all of the achievements many different buildings will be required so make sure all of them are created where possible. There are 52 technologies so 7 of them can be skipped however this will still take some time. It will most likely result in you just sitting at the end hitting end turn in order to earn this one.

Dreadlord
Win a singleplayer campaign.

Witch King
Win a singleplayer campaign on Very Hard or Legendary difficulty.

I won’t explain how to win as Dark elves there are already plenty of guides that can do that for you. I am not sure if this may only be done on vortex campaign or if Mortal empires can count. Vortex campaign isn't so bad because even if you fall behind in the race you can still win by winning a generally easy quest battle so don’t be afraid to take your time. If you are struggling mods might help you. In my opinion Malekith is the least challenging of the Dark elf lords to play.

Lizardmen
These are the achievements directly linked to Lizardmen. i personally achieved them as last defenders but many say Hexotal is easier. Please take note that you must be playing as a Lizardmen faction for these to unlock. None of the others will be able to unlock these.

Cave In
Construct the Vaults of the Old Ones in the city of Itza.

The vaults of Itza require a settlement level of 5 to build. Itza is located a fair way from Hexotals starting location however it will be part of the standard progression of that faction so it shouldn't be to difficult to control. You just might need to fight between High Elves, Skaven and Tomb Kings for control of this city. Still unlocks if the building is already constructed when control is gained.

Stargazer
Construct the Stellar Pyramids of the Southern Skies in Hexoatl.

The settlement of Hexoatl is Lord Mazdamundi's starting location. Stellar Pyramids of the Southern Skies require a tier 5 settlement in order to build. As this is located in the Lizardmen capital it is not challenging purchase and provides nice buffs for your faction. This should be obtained naturally in a Lizardman campaign. Still unlocks if the building is already constructed when control is gained.

See What You Did There...
Own at least 3 Scrying Pools.

Scrying pools require a level 3 settlements to be constructed to they can be built anywhere. This is a very simple achievement to earn since they can be built in any settlement

Uplink Established
Own at least 2 Geomantic Loci.

Skilled Geomancer
Own at least 10 Geomantic Loci.

Geomantic loci require a tier 5 settlement so they can only be constructed in provincial capital. This achievement can be difficult as it requires you to own 10 tier 5 settlements. This means it won’t be unlocked till later in a campaign. Loci are useful buildings as they provide nice buffs to commandants

A Taste for Blood
Recruit a Feral Carnosaur.

Feral carnosaurs require a settlement level of 5 as well as the building pyramid of Itzl to purchase. Carnosours are powerful anti-large monsters that quickly tears through other large units. They are one of the best monsters slaying monsters in the game and are useful verse Skaven and Dark Elf monsters. They are very useful for Lizardmen players so should be naturally aimed to gain at some point

Lookout Below!
Recruit a Terradon Riders (Fireleech Bolas) unit.

Terradon riders (fireleech bolas) require a settlement level of 3 as well as the building terradon hatchery to purchase. Terradon riders (fireleech bolas) are very effective against bombing and disrupting infantry and archer lines similar to gyrobombers of the dwarves. These are not hard to purchase due to their low level requirements and should be naturally purchased

Revered Guardian
Have at least 5 Temple Guard units within a single army.

Temple guards require a settlement level of 4 as well as the building temple guard barracks to purchase. Temple guards are very strong infantry that can perform extremely well at holding the line. These are naturally spammed as they are the best Lizardman infantry. This achievement is very doable on last defenders due to their recruitment cost be lowered.

Skink Priest Initiate
Research 10 technologies.

Skink Priest Adept
Research 25 technologies.

Skink Priest Decipherer
Research 50 technologies.

Skink Priest Decipherer will take some time to unlock. To unlock all of the achievements many different buildings will be required so make sure all of them are created where possible. There are 58 technologies so 8 of them can be skipped however this will still take some time. It will most likely result in you just sitting at the end hitting end turn in order to earn this one.

Slann Mage-Priest
Win a singleplayer campaign.

Old One
Win a singleplayer campaign on Very Hard or Legendary difficulty.

I won’t explain how to win as Lizardmen there are already plenty of guides that can do that for you. I am not sure if this may only be done on vortex campaign or if Mortal empires can count. Vortex campaign isn't so bad because even if you fall behind in the race you can still win by winning a generally easy quest battle so don’t be afraid to take your time. If you are struggling mods might help you. In my opinion Kroq-gar is the least challenging of the Lizardmen lords to play.

Skaven
These are the achievements directly linked to Skaven. i personally achieved them as Clan Mors. Please take note that you must be playing as a Skaven faction for these to unlock. None of the others will be able to unlock these.

Skaven by Name...
Own at least 13 Scrap Heaps.

Scrap heaps require settlement level 3 to construct so they can be built anywhere. They provide nice bonus to income and untainted so spamming them is generally a good idea. The hardest part about this achievement will be owner 13 settlements.

Breed Like Rats
Own at least 13 Breeding Pits.

Breeding pits require settlement level 3 to construct so they can be built anywhere. They provide nice bonus to income and growth so spamming them is generally a good idea. The hardest part about this achievement will be owner 13 settlements.

Herald of Decay
Own at least 3 Temples of the Horned Rat.

Temple of the horned rat requires settlement level 5 to construct so require a provincial capital. They provide nice bonus to income and public order so spamming them is generally a good idea. The hardest part about this achievement will be owning 3 provincial capital settlements at level 5.

Master of Contagion & Disease
Have at least 10 Plague Monks within a single army.

To earn this achievement, you need to recruit 10 Plague Monks into the same army.

Coldblood, Full Stomach
Cccupy or raze the temple-city of Hexoatl in the Eye of the Vortex Campaign.

This achievement can be challenging as Hexoatl are usually one of the strongest factions on the map. As it is a capital it will be heavily defended so you will require a few armies to take the city. Since this achievement can be done at any point you can wait to late game and just overrun them with troops. Hexoatl does not need to control the city in order for this achievement to count. Also in the first game there were issue with sacking then occupying I’m not sure if it is the same here so it is best just to not sack.

Abominator
Recruit a Hell-Pit Abomination.

Hell-pit abominations require settlement level 5 as well as the laboratory building. Hell-pit abominations are great front lining infantry disrupters who can perform well against armoured infantry. Also can perform well against large troops. It is powerful for Skaven and they should naturally aim to recruit some for their armies.

Inhuman Ingenuity
Recruit a Doomwheel.

Doomwheel require settlement level 5 as well as the Warp-Turbine Plant building. Doomwheels are Infantry destroyers who can quickly decimate squads. It is powerful for Skaven and they should naturally aim to recruit some for their armies. I unlocked this when I upgraded a garrison to include one.

Artificer
Research 10 technologies.

Warlock Engineer
Research 20 technologies.

Grey Seer
Research 40 technologies.

Grey Seer will take some time to unlock. To unlock all of the achievements many different buildings will be required so make sure all of them are created where possible. There are 47 technologies so 7 of them can be skipped however this will still take some time. It will most likely result in you just sitting at the end hitting end turn in order to earn this one.

Warlord
Win a singleplayer campaign.

Verminlord
Win a singleplayer campaign on Very Hard or Legendary difficulty.

I won’t explain how to win as Skaven there are already plenty of guides that can do that for you. I am not sure if this may only be done on vortex campaign or if Mortal empires can count. Vortex campaign isn't so bad because even if you fall behind in the race you can still win by winning a generally easy quest battle so don’t be afraid to take your time. If you are struggling mods might help you. In my opinion Skrolk is the least challenging of the Skaven lords to play.

(DLC: Rise of the) Tomb Kings
These are the achievements directly linked to Tomb Kings. Please take note that you must be playing as a Tomb king faction for these to unlock. None of the others will be able to unlock these.

Dark Side of Morrslieb
Gain control of the Black Pyramid.

The Black Pyramid of Nagash is usually controlled by a defensive Tomb king faction however in the late game it usually gets taken over. In order to take control of this settlement you will need several armies as it is a capital. It is located next to Khemri (Settras starting location) and needs to be owned as part of the Tomb kings win condition. There were some issues with sacking settlements in the first game so it is best not to sack settlement.

Book Monitor
Collect your first Book of Nagash.

The books are located either in strong settlements or rouge armies as they are tough fights. It is an objective to claim 5 books to win so this should come naturally. As Arkhan starts with 1 book this achievement may unlock automatically though I’m not sure.

Organ Collector
Collect 1000 Canopic Jars.

Jars can be obtained from events fighting some settlements and lords/heroes. If you are going for see-Nile crafter then you will probably unlock this anyway. this isn't hard to do as if you have some of those things mentioned above all you need to do is wait it out.

Fetch Me the Green Stuff!
Craft a magic item within the Mortuary Cult.

Items require both jars and resources in order to be able to get crafted. Jars can be obtained from events fighting some settlements and lords/heroes. Resources either from building their building in a certain settlement or by trading with a faction that has. This should naturally come.

That's a Wrap!
Recruit a Casket of Souls.

Casket of Scrolls can only be recruited after performing the rite, Great incantation of Taboth. The rite costs 5000 gold to perform and requires you to own 20 units at once. After performance the unit will be able to get recruited in any army. Casket of souls is a powerful arterially which is great for taking down armoured foes.

Walk Like a Nehekharan
Win a singleplayer campaign.

King of Kings
Win a singleplayer campaign on Very Hard or Legendary difficulty.

I won’t explain how to win as Tomb Kings there are already plenty of guides that can do that for you. I am not sure if this may only be done on vortex campaign or if Mortal empires can count. Vortex campaign isn't so bad because you don’t have to worry about the rituals at all. While they still go on they have no effect on your gameplay at all. In my opinion Settra is the least challenging of the Tomb King lords to play.

(DLC: Rise of the) Tomb Kings | Sub-Factions
These are the achievements directly linked to Tomb Kings. Unlike the other factions each achievement has a different sub faction that you must use. Please take note that you must be playing as a Tomb king faction for these to unlock. None of the others will be able to unlock these.

Family Feud
Playing as the Court of Lybaras, kill 1000 Vampire Counts in a single battle.

This shouldn't be difficult particularly on mortal empires as you will be able to almost instantly complete this achievement. Vortex campaign might be a bit harder as you don’t spawn super close to Vampire counts factions and they often get wiped pretty quickly. Luckily vampires like to spawn lots of zombies and skeletons so seeing armies with 1000 troops is pretty easy. This achievement seems to be a little buggy as a few people in the comments have noted to unlock this when not playing as the court of Lybaras while fighting Vampire counts. You will unlock this while playing as the required faction each time but I’m not sure what cause it to unlock other times.

Asp-Irational
Playing as the Court of Lybaras, have at least 3 Necropolis Knights within a single army.

Necropolis knights require settlement level 4 as well as the necroserpent nest building. Each nest can hold 1 Knight so 3 are required. Alternatively upgrading the nest to the royal Menagerie allows for 2 knights instead of 1. The Royal Menagerie also allow the production of Necrosperent knights(halberds) which some people are confirming to work. However I am not sure on this.

See-Nile Crafter
Playing as the Exiles of Nehek, craft everything within the Mortuary Cult.

This challenge includes all regiments of renown and the awaken dynasty. In total this will take around 5000 jars and 10,000 gold to craft them all. To help obtains jars each lord and heroes have abilities which increase the gain which can be maxed at level 5. I recommend waiting until you have 5000 before you start crafting and do them all at once. Also in order to craft items you need resources such as metal and spices. Most of the resources are near your starting location so you shouldn't have too much difficulty here. However diamonds spices and pottery are fairly deep in lizard territory so you might have difficulty. Forming trade pacts might help otherwise you might need to launch invasions. This is one of the hardest achievements in the game to complete and also takes a long time. A couple of people are reporting this one to be bugged by I am not sure how to fix that.

Priestly Congregation
Playing as the Exiles of Nehek, have at least 3 Liche Priests within a single army.

While it may sound hard it is actually quite easy and can be done in a few turns. Exiles begin with one Liche priest already. In a few turns an event will pop up giving the player a hero for free which you should select the Liche priest. Then all you need to do is research priesthood of Neru for 1000 gold for the final one. Implement in a army and the achievement is yours.

Black is the New Black
Playing as the Followers of Nagash, construct the Black Tower of Arkhan building during a campaign.

The tower requires a settlement level of 4 to construct. It must be built Follwers of Nagash. It is located not far away from Arkhan's starting location and is in the path to the black pyramid. It will usually fall under the players control at some point. If control of the settlement is gained and the building is already purchased it will still unlock.

Thralls of Nagash
Playing as the Followers of Nagash, have at least 5 Crypt Ghouls within a single army.

Arkhan already starts with a crypt ghoul unit and the grave hill already constructed which holds up to 4. This means all you need to do is build another grave hill in one of the other settlements and you can now hold 8. Your troops are free so you can buy them fairly quickly.

Settra Rules!
Playing as Khemri, occupy all regions of Nehekhara within the Eye of the Vortex campaign.

The area of map this game seems to count as Nekehara is basically all the desert part. So everything north of Lizardman and wood elf factions (not including the orcs/dwarf area to the east but including the other dwarves). Since there is no confederation for Tomb kings you must fight everything. This isn’t too hard to do as Khemri and Settra are naturally a strong faction so beating everyone else shouldn't be too hard.

List of provinces
- Land of the Dead
- Shifting Sands
- The Great Desert
- Land of the Dervishes
- Ash River
- Coast of Araby
- Land of Assassins

Tombtastic
Playing as Khemri, have at least 5 Tomb Guards within a single army.

Tomb guards require settlement level 3 as well as the royal barracks building. Each barracks can hold 2 Knight so 3 are required. . The Royal barracks also allow the production of tomb guards (halberds) which some people are confirming to work. However I am not sure on this.

(DLC: Curse of the) Vampire Coast
These are the achievements directly linked to Vampire Coast. Unlike the non-DLC factions, 3 achievements have a different sub faction that you must use. These 3 are located at the bottom of this chapter. Please take note that you must be playing as a Vampire Coast faction for these to unlock. None of the others will be able to unlock these.

Back in Business
Restore Luthor Harkon's mind by opening the Ancient Vault.

In order to open the ancient vault you must construct the tier 5 landmark in the vampire coast capital. You should not build any of the earlier stages until you are ready to construct the final upgrade as the early stages provide only negative effects to your faction.

Leech
Establish a Pirate Cove.

This can be done as any sub faction. All you have to is take control of any port city through invasion and choose the option establish pirate cove. This shouldn't be difficult.

Know My Name
Gain infamy.

To earn this achievement you must gain a point of infamy. This can be done as any subfaction. Infamy can be earned in a multitude of ways including via combat and choices. You should have no trouble earning this one.

Scourge of the Seven Seas
Defeat seven infamous pirates.

This can be done as any subfaction. You will notice a pirate leader board upon launching a campaign.

Parrot Talk
Collect a Piece of Eight.

This can be done as any subfaction. You earn these from defeating one of the pirate armies for the first time. You can track their location in the pieces of eight tab.

X Marks the Spot
Solve a treasure map.

This can be done as any subfaction. you can treasure maps from a variety of ways including defeating opponents and random events. Each map provides a simple riddle which may require certain words to be swapped with a similar meaning. Once you have worked out a location send a lord or hero to the region and select the dig option.

Bring out the Big Guns
Recruit Queen Bess.

This can be done as any subfaction. Queen Bess is a artillery cannon that has huge range and damage. In order to recruit one you need to complete the corresponding ritual Curse of the Queen's Cannon. This ritual costs 3000 gold and allows you to recruit the powerful unit through regiments of renown.

Master of the Seas
Win a singleplayer campaign.

A Tale will be Told
Win a singleplayer campaign on Very Hard or Legendary difficulty.

I won’t explain how to win as Vampire Coast as there will be plenty of guides that can do that for you. I am not sure if this may only be done on vortex campaign or if Mortal empires can count. Vortex campaign isn't so bad because you don’t have to worry about the rituals at all. While they still go on they have no effect on your gameplay at all. Many of the lords are rated as easy or normal so you shouldn't be under much threat in trying to earn this.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bottom Dweller
Playing as the Dreadfleet, scavenge the wreck of the Heldenhammer in the Galleon's Graveyard.

Gelleon's graveyard is the starting city of this faction. The Heldenhammar is a tier 5 landmark with no earlier tiers. This will take some time but shouldn't be overlay difficult.

Phantasm of the Opera
Playing as the Drowned, construct the Cylostra's Opera House in Lothern.

This is the most difficult achievement of this DLC. Cylostra's opera house is a tier 4 landmark. As the Drowned begin in the grey guardians province in Naggaround, Lothern is quite far away. It also is the capital of the Lothern faction which is usally one of the strongest factions in the game at any one time. I recommend waiting until you 2 to 3 armies (so you can defend it) and swarming the city. Wait till you get within range of the city to declare war and then hold the city long enough to construct the building. If you own mortal empires the Drowned and Lothern are much closer together then in the Vortex campaign.

Motley Crew
Playing as the Pirates of Sartosa, recruit 10 units of Sartosa Free Company.

This unit is unique to this subfaction. The Sartosa free company is living unit similar to a unit that appears on the empire roster. All it requires is a level 1 port to recruit so if you really want you can unlock this achievement in the first few turns of a standard campaign. You must recruit 10 in a single army otherwise it will not unlock. (Thanks to DeValiere for confirming this)

Total War: Warhammer 1 & DLC: Mortal Empires
For all of these achievements you actually need to own the first Total War: Warhammer game...

The Good Old Times
Win the Mortal Empires singleplayer campaign with a race from the Old World.

-> This requires the free DLC: Mortal Empires.
Valid races are Empire Province, Dwarf, Vampire Count, Orc, Bretonia, Wood Elf, Chaos, Beastmen or Norsca lord.
While much of their objectives remains the same some of them have been made a little longer to make up for the larger map. While I won’t say how to win as each faction here there are plenty of guides to help you. Also mods and lower difficulty settings can be utilised. In my opinion Thorgrim of the Dwarves was the least challenging lord to play.

Imperials of Excellence
Playing as the Empire, win a singleplayer campaign.

Legends Amongst Men
Playing as the Empire, win a singleplayer campaign on Very Hard or Legendary difficulty.

-> "The Hunter and the Beast" DLC may replace the need for Warhammer 1
I won’t explain how to win as Empire there are already plenty of guides that can do that for you however only choose recent guides as the empire was changed a lot with the latest few patches. I am not sure if this may only be done on vortex campaign or if Mortal empires can count. Personally I played a legendary campaign with Karl Franz on mortal empires as i had played him in the first game. However you may only need the empire DLC for warhammer 2.

Heirs of Breton

Blood-Grounds, Everwhere!
Playing as the Beastmen, win a singleplayer campaign on Very Hard or Legendary difficulty.

I won’t explain how to win as Beastmen there are already plenty of guides that can do that for you. Beastmen can be very hard to play however they have some of the strongest doomstacks in the entire game if you can make it. Personally i played a very hard campaign with One-Eye on mortal empires.

Favoured Son of Chaos
Playing as Warriors of Chaos, win a singleplayer campaign.

The End Times Approach
Playing as Warriors of Chaos, win a singleplayer campaign on Very Hard or Legendary difficulty.

I won’t explain how to win as Warriors of Chaos there are already plenty of guides that can do that for you. Personally i played a very hard campaign with Kolek Suneaters and spammed Shaggoths on mortal empires.

Dawi Dominance
Playing as Dwarfs, win a singleplayer campaign.

Age of Reckoning
Playing as Dwarfs, win a singleplayer campaign on Very Hard or Legendary difficulty.

I won’t explain how to win as Dwarfs there are already plenty of guides that can do that for you. Dwarfs are a highly defensive faction and their campaigns are slow but not terribly difficult. Personally i played a very hard campaign as High King Thogrim Grudgebearer on mortal empires.

Da Best Waaagh!
Playing as Greenskins, win a singleplayer campaign.

Da Greatest Waaagh! Ever!
Playing as Greenskins, win a singleplayer campaign on Very Hard or Legendary difficulty.

I won’t explain how to win as Greenskins there are already plenty of guides that can do that for you. Greenskins are a highly aggressive faction who like to roll right over there enemies. Personally i played a very hard campaign as Grimgor Ironhide on mortal empires.

Lambs to the Slaughter
Playing as Vampire Counts, win a singleplayer campaign.

Necromantic Dominance
Playing as Vampire Counts, win a singleplayer campaign on Very Hard or Legendary difficulty.

I won’t explain how to win as Vampire Counts there are already plenty of guides that can do that for you. Vampire Counts are a highly aggressive faction who like to roll right over there enemies with lots of weak stacks. Personally i played a very hard campaign as Vlad von Carstien on mortal empires.

Season of Supremacy
Playing as Wood Elves, win a singleplayer campaign.

Age of the Eternal Oak
Playing as Wood Elves, win a singleplayer campaign on Very Hard or Legendary difficulty.

I won’t explain how to win as Wood Elves there are already plenty of guides that can do that for you. Wood Elves are a highly defensive faction and their campaigns are slow. Personally i played a very hard campaign as King Orion on mortal empires. Note that there is an upcoming Paid DLC for Wood Elves coming to Warhammer 2.

The Dark Gods' Playthings
Playing as Norsca, win a singleplayer campaign.

Immortal Marauders
Playing as Norsca, win a singleplayer campaign on Very Hard or Legendary difficulty.

I won’t explain how to win as Norsca there are already plenty of guides that can do that for you. Norsca are a highly aggressive faction who like to roll right over there enemies through raiding and pillaging. Personally i played a very hard campaign as Wulfrik the Wanderer and spammed Mammoths on mortal empires.

Some people are reporting issues with earning achievements tide to Empire, Bretonia and Greenskins. This occours when player as Warhammer 2 added Lords in the Vortex campaign so you may need to earn these in Mortal Empires. This will probably expand to the Wood Elves as well

Other Buildings and Settlement Control
These are building and settlement control achievements that are not faction specific. That is they can be done on almost any faction in either mortal empires or vortex as long as you gain control of the settlement. These ones have been reported to be quite buggy and sometimes don’t unlock. You might just have to try again.

Origin Unknown
Construct the Sanctum of Quintex in the Ancient City of Quintex.

This requires a settlement level of 5 to build. This is most easiest done on Morathi as she starts in the city though other factions may not have to hard of a time doing this. Still unlocks if city is gained control of and the building already constructed.

Camera Obscura
Construct the Chamber of Visions.

The chamber of visions requires a settlement level 3(as it’s a minor settlement). This achievement is most easily done as Telcis as he starts very close to the location of this settlement. Still unlocks if city is gained control of and the building already constructed.

Dreadlord of Hag Graef
Construct the Dark Crag in the sinister city of Hag Graef.

The dark crag requires a settlement level of 4 in order to construct. This is most easily done as Naggarond as they start very close and will generally remain friendly with Hag Graef for the duration of the game. Still unlocks if city is gained control of and the building already constructed.

Legacy of the Great Necromancer
Construct the Vault of Nagash.

To earn this achievement you must construct the Vault of Nagash in the settlement Black Pyramid of Nagash. Vault of Nasgh requires a settlement level of 3 to construct. Khemri start the closet to the cities so it is most easily done with them however it is most beneficial to Arkhan of the tomb kings as he can benefit more from the vampiric corruption. Still unlocks if city is gained control of and the building already constructed.

Magma Master
Control the Thrice-Cursed Peak, Vaul's Anvil (Caledor), Titan Peak, and the Star Tower.

All these settlements are next to a volcano hence the name of the achievement. They are located on 3 of the four continents and are quite hidden away. I did most of these in one play as Lizardmen where I conquered the entire would so I earned all these achievements. If you wish to attempt this achievement I recommend starting as either Tyrion or Telics as they can get easy access to 3 of the 4 settlements. Only titan peak will give you pain this way, Avoid Sacking settlements as there was a bug related this from total warhammer.

Yarrrrr!!!
Control the pirate city of Sartosa.

The city of Sartosa is located on the east side of the map. Sartosa is an isolated Vampire coast city which regularly raids nearby lands. This is easily done with High Elves or Khemri as they both spawn very close to Sartosa and will want control of the island at some point to stop raids and generate income. With the release Vampire Coast the pirates of Sartosa have become playable. However I do not know if choosing them and starting in Sartosa counts towards this achievement. (Can someone confirm thanks?)

Yurrrggghhh!!!
Control Pox Marsh, the Awakening, and the Blood Swamps.

These 3 settlements are located on north east cost of Lustria and start of controlled by the vampire coast. With the release of Vampire coast as a playable faction this achievement is easiest unlocked while playing as them. However playing as any nearby faction shouldn't prove any more as challenge in controlling the area.

The Forest Whispers My Name
Control Oreon's Camp and Gaean Vale.

To earn this achievement you must control Oreons camp (wood elves settlement) and Gaean Vale (Arialle’s starting location) This one can be a little tricky as the two of them are fairly far from each other. It is unlikely that you would naturally unlock this unless you invade the entire world. A simple way to do this is play as High elves and waits till late game to launch an invasion of Oreons camp through confederation with Tor Elesor.

Forge of the Blind God
Control both Vaul's Anvil (Caledor) and Vaul's Anvil (The Black Coast) in the Eye of the Vortex Campaign.

One is located in Caledor not far from Lothern and another in the black coast which is not far from Quintex. Vaul’s anvil (Caledor) is right on the coast while Vaul’s anvil (the black coast) is just tiny bit trickier to reach. This achievement can be fairly easily done late as either group of elves.

Combat Miscellaneous
These are achievements directly related to combat are usually require you to win battles in order to earn them. Most of these can be done anywhere including single player, multiplayer, custom battles and laboratory. There are no faction requirements for these achievements.

Liquidator
With a single Lord, make 100 kills during a battle.

This is a very easy achievement to earn as lords are incredibly strong and should easy chew through 100 kills in combat. Legendary lords when levelled up become monsters that can tear through armies like butter so this achievement should be no problem. This achievement doesn't specify the type of combat that must occur (single player, multiplayer, custom) so any of those 3 can be done. This can be easily done on custom games by setting a lord to murder squads of zombies. Also you must fight this out on the battle map for it to count, auto resolving does not work.

Vangaurdian
With a single Hero, make 100 kills during a battle.

Melee heroes if levelled could do this but it would much more easily done with a mage hero who can sit back shower the other army in a whole bunch of spells. I earned this achievement with a dark elf sorceresses embedded with Mortathi. This achievement doesn't specify the type of combat that must occur (single player, multiplayer, custom) so any of those 3 can be done. This can be easily done on custom games by setting heroes to murder squads of zombies. Also you must fight this out on the battle map for it to count, auto resolving does not work.

Conqueror
With a single unit, make 200 kills during a campaign battle.

To earn this achievement you must have a single unit (lord, hero or otherwise) obtain 200 kills in a single instance of combat. Obviously it is unlikely that you will earn this achievement until later in the game when your lord starts getting powerful and you can verse large armies. This achievement will most likely come naturally however if you can’t seem to get custom battles should do the trick. You can have hordes of archers shoot down a full squad of zombies for easy kills. You must fight this out on the battle map for it to count, auto resolving does not work.

Exceptionally Able
Use 10 or more special abilities during a campaign battle.

This achievement is quite notorious for shifting wording which can be misleading. For the achievement to unlock it seems you must use 10 different abilities with lords and heroes only. Spamming the same spell or using abilities with non-lords doesn't seem to work. Most people claim that lord Mazdamundi is the easiest to do this on as he can easy get more than 10 usable abilities. Just use them all and it should pop. Side note this achievement mentions that it must be done in a campaign battle so no customs battle however multiplayer campaign should still work. Also you must fight this out on the battle map for it to count, auto resolving does not work.

The Stuff of Legend
Win a campaign battle in which you are outnumbered 10-to-1.

To earn this achievement you must win a campaign battle where they are at least 10 times stronger then you. This achievement seems to imply being outnumbered in terms of troop numbers but seems to unlock when strength bar is in their favour. This is a tough one however can probably be done easily on lower difficulties. Some people have unlocked through use of the elven garrisons in the gates holding against rats and others have used monstrous units to slaughter opponents. Many people seem to have unlocked during the final ritual against the ratman armies spawning. This achievement must be earned on the battle map and can only be done during a campaign (single player or multiplayer).

Waylayer
Win 5 ambush battles during a single campaign.

While this isn't too difficult this is made very easy by Skaven who have the ambush-move stance with very high ambush rates. Simply playing a campaign as them should unlock this. Beastmen can also easier do this achievement. This achievement is a little bugged or its text is misleading but it suffers from the same problems that the ambush achievement suffered from in TW1. This achievement must be done in a single session (not quitting the campaign) in order to unlock. However if you are having trouble laying ambushes or you don’t have time you can still easily do this achievement. Upon launching an ambush you can quick save the battle and then after the ambush you can reload back to the battle. This should unlock the achievement after the battle has been won 5 times. This achievement must be fought on the battle map for it to count and can only be done in a campaign (single player or multiplayer is fine)

Assailant
Win 25 siege attack battles during a single campaign.

While 25 is quite a lot it shouldn't be to challenging to unlock. Launching invasions of all races on your starting continent should be enough otherwise you can just invade another after the game has already been won. Just make sure you manually fight all battles as auto resolving won’t count. Some factions like Greenskins, Beastmen, Norsca and Warriors of Chaos who like to constantly fighting should have no troubles. I suspect these need to be fought manually but i am not 100% sure.

Field Marshal
Win 10 battles during a single campaign.

Generalissimo
Win 50 battles during a single campaign.

These achievements should be quite easy for most factions if you are reasonably aggressive and fighting relatively often. If you are having troubles constantly sacking settlement should unlock this achievement eventually. I suspect these need to fought manually but I am not 100% sure.

Campaign Miscellaneous
These are the non-faction specific achievements that are earned on the campaign map rather than combat. While these achievements are non-faction specific some factions do them better than most. Most of these achievements relate to economy and diplomacy and can be easily done in Mortal empires rather than Vortex.

Reduced to Ashes
Raze 1 settlement.

Incendiary Tendencies
Raze 30 Settlements in a single campaign.

Since settlements may be controlled by everyone regardless of faction this can be little more challenging then what it was in Warhammer 1. If you own Mortal empires then playing as either Beastmen or Warriors of Chaos still have an easy time with this achievement as it is part of their win conditions. If you don’t own Mortal Empires then launching raiding armies with Dark elves might be the best option. Dark elves can make use of their mobile bases in the form of black arks to launch attacks on small settlements. If you want you can just raze a factions cities leaving 1 alive and then wait for them to expand again before launching another attack. Repeat until unlock. It doesn't matter whether the battle beforehand was auto resolved or not and sacking doesn't have an impact.

Taxman
Have a gross income of 5000 gold per turn.

Tax Collector
Have a gross income of 20,000 gold per turn.

Tax Farmer
Have a gross income of 60,000 gold per turn.

This achievement is a little misleading as by gross income it means net worth or the number in the top of your screen next to your total money. Achieving Tax farmer will almost be impossible without intentionally going for it. You will not be able to earn this achievement until you have created a large empire with many income buildings constructed. Having all commandants on money, maximum trade with allies, fully maxed settlements and income buildings, Max taxes and disbanding all your armies should be able to tip you over the edge. Completed as high elves though dwarves will be able to this pretty easily.

Trader
Have access to at least 5 different tradable resources through production or trade.

Merchant
Have access to at least 8 different tradable resources through production or trade.

Factor
Have access to 12 different tradable resources through production or trade.

Tradable resources can be earned 2 ways. Either by owning a settlement where the resource occurs and constructing the related building or by signing a trade agreement with a faction which is producing that resource. Resources can be tracked by entering the diplomacy screen and under your portrait is the resources that your faction has access to. This achievement should come naturally particularly if you are doing the Tomb king achievements as one of them relies on owning resources. There are 16 total resources.

Trade Attaché
Have a trade agreement with 5 other factions at the same time.

Master Diplomat
Have a trade agreement with 10 other factions at the same time.

This should come pretty easily as many factions will be willing to send trade agreements out of the blue. This can be easily done with High elves as they can manipulate most factions into liking them more. This means they are more willing to agree to diplomacy. On mortal empires when Chaos begins its invasion all Empire provinces, southern realms (Kislev as well), Bretonian, High elven, Dwarven and Lizardman factions gain shield of civilization trait which makes them very willing to accept offers between themselves. Due to the sheer amount of these factions on the map the player should have no difficulty obtaining this achievement. If mortal empires are not accessible then playing as high elves and not confederating until its unlocked should have little trouble.

Military Envoy
Have a military alliance with 5 other factions at the same time.

Grand Ambassador
Have a military alliance with 10 other factions at the same time.

Living Legend
Win a singleplayer campaign on Legendary difficulty.

I won’t explain how to win a game as there are already plenty of guides that can do that for you. This can be done on either mortal empires or Vortex and must be done in single player. Vortex campaign isn't so bad because even if you fall behind in the race you can still win by winning a generally easy quest battle so don’t be afraid to take your time. If you are struggling mods might help you. In my opinion Tyrion, Malekith, Koroq-gar, Thorgrim and Karl Franz are the least challenging of the legendary lords to play.

Neophyte
Successfully complete a ritual.

Ipsissimus
Successfully complete the final ritual.

These achievements are not difficult and you should have little trouble completing them. Gather enough fragments and then defend the chosen cities for a number of turns that is it. These are required to complete other achievements here and are major objectives for Skaven, High elves, Dark elves and Lizardmen during the Vortex campaign. Single player or multiplayer doesn't matter.

Adventurer
Fight a quest battle.

To earn this achievement you must complete a special quest battle. These battles can be unlocked by reaching a certain level on a legendary lord. Upon reaching that level a series of quests will be unlocked which when followed you will be prompted to battle in quest battle against a powerful force in order to earn a powerful unique item. I am not sure if battles including in the main objective such as the final ritual battle count. Every legendary lord has at least one quest battle so this one shouldn't be hard.

Lord, Heroes and Magic Items
These achievements are general achievements directly related to lords, heroes and items that can be obtained by either of them. These can be done by any faction and by any lord not just legendary lords. Most of these will be unlocked naturally.

Veteran
Have a level 10 Lord.

Champion
Have a level 20 Lord.

Paragon
Have a level 30 Lord.

These should come naturally. Your starting lord will most likely be the first one to 30. Lords slowly level up over time but gain increased experience from combat and quest/events. You should have at least reached 30 on 1 of your lords by the end of the game.

Retainer
Have 1 level 10 Hero.

Councilor
Have 2 level 20 Heroes at the same time.

Honour Guard
Have 3 level 30 Heroes at the same time.

if you make use of heroes in your campaign these should come naturally. Heroes slowly level up over time but gain increased experience from combat, events and actions. While heroes can make good combatants it is much easier for them here to end up being accidently killed. It is generally safer to use your heroes for sabotage and assassinations and they will eventually reach 30.

Power Petitioner
Have 3 magic weapons or pieces of magic armour.

Spoils Seeker
Have 10 magic weapons or pieces of magic armour.

The Collector
Have 25 magic weapons or pieces of magic armour.

Magic weapons and armour can come from multitudes of different ways. These include treasure hunts, random events, completing quests (including special hero quest) and defeating lords. I don’t believe that you need 25 on one character so this one should come naturally in a play through.

Treasure Hunter
Have 3 magic talismans, enchanted or arcane items.

Antique Dealer
Have 10 magic talismans, enchanted or arcane items.

The Treasurer
Have 25 magic talismans, enchanted or arcane items.

Magic talismans, enchanted and arcane items can come from multitudes of different ways. These include treasure hunts, random events, completing quests (including special hero quest) and defeating lords. I don’t believe that you need 25 on one character so this one should come naturally in a play through.

Beast Tamer
Have a special mount.

The Menagerist
Have 3 special mounts.

Mounts are earned when a lord or hero reaches a certain level. They can then be skilled in the skill tree at the top left. Most heroes and lords have at least one mount while some can have up to 4. I am not sure if you need 3 unique amounts or just 3 amounts unlocked but this achievement should unlock naturally.

Multiplayer
These achievements require one other person to complete (except for multiplayer battles but I put them here anyway). Most of these can be done in under 5 minutes and have no special restrictions on them.

Spoiling for a Fight
Play a multiplayer battle.

First Among Equals
Win 10 multiplayer battles.

While these achievements say multiplayer they don’t actual require any other player. You can host a multiplayer battle but instead of having a slot for a human player you can change it to AI player and fight out battles that way. If you want to make it quick you can charge a bunch of cavalry into a squad of zombies.

Plaguebearer
Defeat a CA staff member or anyone else with this achievement during a multiplayer battle.

There isn't much to say about this one. You can either ask around or see if someone is willing to give it out or play multiplayer battles till it pops.

A Taste for Glory
Play a multiplayer campaign.

To earn this achievement you must launch a multiplayer campaign. That’s it. You don’t have to win. All you need is someone who is willing to start up a campaign. You can search for multiplayer campaigns in the search menu.

Conclusion
If you have made this far thanks for reading. I hope this guide proved helpful even it helped you earn just one achievement. Remember to enjoy the game to fullest and put any question or issues in the comment section down below. It would be great if you like and favourite this guide if you found it helpful. Happy hunting.

Sure I'm happy to help with the update, I understand that something has been updated, but how do I know that this inaccuracy is an update and not a bug ? Forgive hasty conclusions, try to look from my perspective....

@denwer1992 Notice how the guide says "updated for the rakarth update". Believe it or not there were updates after this which changes such cylostras opera house moving from 4 to 5. This guide was written based on my own experiences with the achievement. i 100%ed it, uninstalled it and moved on. im sorry that guide that was written before the end of a games life span has some inaccurate information but im sure you can use that big brain of yours to fill in the gaps. if you wish to update im more happy to work with you on that but next time make sure you understand context before jumping to conclusions

"Black is the New Black
Playing as the Followers of Nagash, construct the Black Tower of Arkhan building during a campaign.

The tower requires a settlement level of 4 to construct. It must be built Follwers of Nagash. It is located not far away from Arkhan's starting location and is in the path to the black pyramid. It will usually fall under the players control at some point. If control of the settlement is gained and the building is already purchased it will still unlock."

You forgot to write what settlement specifically, this guide really sucks, but there is no better on the other hand ;/.

"Back in Business
Restore Luthor Harkon's mind by opening the Ancient Vault.

In order to open the ancient vault you must construct the tier 5 landmark in the vampire coast capital. You should not build any of the earlier stages until you are ready to construct the final upgrade as the early stages provide only negative effects to your faction."

THAT IS NOT ALL, you must also complit sechrching of treasure of lizardmen
denwer1992 3 Oct, 2024 @ 1:16pm
mistake: Cylostra's opera house is a tier 5 landmark. NOT 4
