A Pig Mains guide to Oinking
By Feilong
In this guide I'm not just going to explain the Pig, but also the way I personally, as someone whose spent at least 400 hours on this character alone, use them and all the perks (currently) in the game.

My Stream Link
https://www.twitch.tv/rennyknock If you wish to come watch me in action, I will start streaming more frequently and even teach you how to play killer, I always love giving advice to fellow killer players, and even if you don't play killer, I will give you survivor tips as well if you want to learn how to counter a killer in various ways.
The Pig's Powers
Hidden Blade
Her hidden blade isn't that much different to other killers lunge ranges, but her and Freddy both have smaller models that end up making it look like they'd hit an attack at a much longer range than they should compared to other killers, abuse this as players will think that your hitbox will be shorter than it should be.

Jigsaw's Baptism
The Pig in of itself has two seperate powers, due to the devs wanting to explore more ways to give killers opportunities to make themselves more unique than other killers. With these powers, I'll start explaining the one everyone loves, and that's the Reverse Bear-Traps.

In my opinion, this is more fitting of a secondary power than a primary one and ends up falling short of being good in comparison to her Ambush, she finds hersef quite weak when you just throw these things onto every survivor you see, and this power in of itself is primarily used for buying time.

The Reverse Bear-Traps can be placed on a downed survivors cranium by pressing Control while over their body, you go into an animation which can be quickened with add-ons, and end up snapping it onto their characters model, which was created from the entity itself so you can have these without having to hold them in your pockets or on your back.

When a Survivor first has them on their head, what they end up seeing is the Four (base) Jigsaw Boxes, which are randomly spawned across the map in various locations, highlighted in white, allowing the survivor to pick one to go to.

When a survivor reaches one, they lock themselves into an animation with skillchecks and end up finding themselves trying to see if the Box has their key, it's all RNG and if they get lucky, they can get it on the first try, or if they get horribly unlucky, they get it on the last one.

One a generator is popped, the Reverse Bear-Trap activates, at first it's inactive, but because someone decided to pop a gen, the timer is now ticking, at base I believe it's a two and a half minute timer, to be fair to survivors and allow them a chance to survive. Once the timer has finished ticking, they lose the game and die instantly to the Reverse-Bear Trap.

A survivor can also make the Reverse-Bear Trap pop early if they run through, or crawl through, the pillars inside the exit gate, once they pass, they die. But you cannot throw a survivor past it, or they will escape, to prevent you just killing them instantly that way. But you can however, throw them EXACTLY ontop of the line that can kill them, meaning if you drop them ontop of the line, they die if they move at all. Just a little tip if you ever want to be cruel.

Another thing some fellow Pig Mains I know like to do is, if the survivors have traps on their head, someone popped a gen, and you ended up having two survivors in the basement and you're upstairs..instead of hitting them anjavascript:CCommentThread.FormattingHelpPopup( 'Guide' );d risking them getting away or getting the trap off, you can just crouch on the stairs and bodyblock these survivors stuck downstairs, and wait out their timer.

This also isn't a bannable offense, because you're waiting specifically for them to die to your trap, and as long as you're trying to kill a survivor, then you're playing the game right. P.S. This will make every survivor you do this to hate you for life and extra salty.

My main goal with this power is to not use it directly from the start unless I manage to grab the Decisive Strike user first, I always put a trap on them early so it's not a waste of time if they stab me. But besides the decisive strike user, I save most of my traps for when the survivors are about to complete the last gen, or it's just one gen left, or no gens left, because you can waste even more time by having someone with a helmet on their head at the endgame and usually by then you had already hooked them a few times at least.

Amanda's Ambush

The Ambush is one of two things, it allows Amanda to crouch down and hide her terror radius, sneaking around and generally being immersed as a killer now, but also allows Amanda to charge an attack, and sling herself out into a lunge. This creates a noise that survivors can hear, and it is very loud, but not only that, but is also heard while you are charging. So not only do you just make a noise, but you're letting them know you're there, where you are and also just making it harder for yourself to be sneaky by using it out of your hidden position.

Sometimes you can really get a survivor to mess up and get hit even if you revealed your position, but most times a survivor will hear this noise, and react by running away, even without Sprint Burst if their reaction is good enough, they just never get hit unless you're extremely close to them. And then they probably heard you breath and is already getting the heckity out.

This in my opinion, is truly her main power and the thing that you can really work with under any circumstances, most people think it's weak and ineffective, but that's just because they're using it wrong..you don't want to start a game and just go and start crouchwalking everywhere, not unless you have Whispers anyways..

When in doubt, lunge is what I say. When you're at a pallet loop and you find yourself having troubles being able to catch up to the survivor or looping well, taking a moment to crouch down and then try and mindgame the survivor, by picking a direction to lunge, and then either going with it or pretending to go that way, quickly turning and then going the opposite way, is how you mindgame and beat survivors at specific pallet loops.

This power makes certain short loops impossible to avoid a hit from Amanda, when you get good enough with it, all you have to do is either A.) Sit at the Pallet and crouch, then pick a direction or mindgame, Or B.) If the survivor knows you're going to try and crouch, do a crouch, then uncrouch and run at them while they're running away from the pallet.

Not only do you get a free hit one way or the other, but you can really abuse a survivors weak mind by practicing this and getting so good at it that they just always go down to you, a big downside is that you're so short in crouch mode, some obstacles block your view of the survivor, but the survivor could possibly still see you.

If you can manage to crouch and lunge while outside of their view but while still looping with them, remember that your Red Stain is still able to be seen, and again can be used as a massive mind-game tool, by making them see your red stain, then quickly swapping directions.

One last word of advice about the Ambush, try not to waste too much time ambushing, sometimes it's better to just uncrouch and walk at a survivor, especially if they're on a generator. Then you can get a chance to pull them off for a free hook. Always play mindful around the Lunge, because you can really screw yourself over as much as you can help yourself if you can't preform these plays well enough.
Amanda's Add-Ons
My Thoughts
In this section, I will explain my use for all these add-ons, you all may find different uses, but these are my general opinion and use of her add-ons and I hope this helps.

Common
Workshop Grease
Slightly increases the Skill Check trigger odds when interacting with a Jigsaw Box.
This one doesn't serve as massive of a purpose in my opinion, but can be useful with Perks such as Unnerving Presense. But to be fair this is quite literally a 1% change and just gives the survivors a 0.01 more odds at having a skillcheck. SO YEAH!
Shattered Syringe
Slightly decreases the Ambush Attack miss cool-down.
This is actually one of the more top-tier add-ons, if not one of the best, I use this one quite frequently alongside Combat Straps. The effective cooldown percentage for this is -0.25 which is -25% of Attack Cooldown for the Lunge if you miss with it. REALLY good for keeping up a chase after missing a lunge. I don't think it's affected by perks that modify attack miss cooldown, since it's a seperate modifier.
John's Medical File
Slightly decreases the Ambush Attack charging time.
This one is another really good add-on actually, I don't use it frequently, but when I do it serves it's purpose well by reducing it by 0.5, which is just a straight and plain 50% reduction in charge time, ridiculous for a common.
Combat Straps
Slightly decreases time it takes to crouch.
This is your bread, whenever you see this on your tree, grab it. You might not like it, but this is what a real add-on looks like. This thing right here is my favorite because it not only allows you to properly mindgame survivors with high speed crouching, but you can also Tbag close to as fast as a survivor and return any BM right back onto their downed body. This reduces the action speed by 1, which is 100% reduction apparently. (I have no idea why.)

Uncommon

Video Tape
Slightly decreases the Ambush Attack charging time.
Slightly decreases the Ambush Attack miss cool-down.
This is the butter to the bread up above, my second favorite add-on to use just under Combat Straps. This is literally a upgrade from Shattered Syringe because it has the same 25% effect, but also with the added benefit of John's medical file all in one add-on. Quite literally two add-ons fused into this bad boy.
Utility Blades
Survivors caught in a Reverse Bear Trap suffer from the Hemorrhage Status Effect.
This one is pretty good when you have bloodhound, but otherwise not amazing.
Razor Wires
Moderately increases the Skill Check trigger odds when interacting with a Jigsaw Box.
Another pretty weak one, only a measely 2%, so it's just a 1% better version of the original, but is still just upgrading it by 0.02.
Last Will
Increases available Reverse Bear Traps by 1.
This is just good, not amazing by all means, but having that extra trap can get you an extra kill.
Face Mask
Survivors caught in a Reverse Bear Trap suffer from the Blindness Status Effect.
Sadly doesn't affect Jigsaw boxes, but it's still pretty rad for making survivors unable to see hooked survivors with a trap on their head. Or to counter Bond and the likes.

Rare
Slow-Release Toxin
Survivors caught in a Reverse Bear Trap suffer from the Exhausted Status Effect.
Exhausting a survivor is really good for preventing them from having any of the exhaustion perks for when you wanna hunt them down while they're doing Boxes.
Rusty Attatchments
Survivors caught in a Reverse Bear Trap suffer from the Mangled Status Effect.
Mangled is alright, it's good with Coulrophobia.
Jigsaw's Sketch
Increases available Jigsaw Boxes by 1.
Moderately increases the Reverse Bear Trap death timer.
This increases the death timer by 30 seconds but you also get another box..to be honest this is kind of pointless because it's kinda nerfing yourself, because it takes less than 30 seconds to do a box. If it was 15 second timer increase, then it'd be a good trade and not too strong.
Interlocking Razor
Tremendously increases the penalty of failed Skill Checks on Jigsaw Boxes.
I still have no idea what the modifier is for this one, but it appears to be a solid 5-6 seconds of not being allowed to touch a Jigsaw box after failing a skillcheck. Good with Unnerving.
Bag of Gears
Slightly increases the time it takes Survivors to search a Jigsaw Box.
Slightly decreases the time it takes to put on a Reverse Bear Trap.
This add-on doesn't really work, it's been bugged and all it does is turn the bar red for survivors, but doesn't slow anything down, but it's supposed to slow a survivors progress on jigsaw boxes by 0.14 which is just -14% action speed on them. But the speed boost to trapping peoples heads is nice, allows for you to not slow yourself down as much, it's a straight 0.2 reduction, so 20% reduced action speed.

Very Rare
Tampered Timer
Moderately reduces the Reverse Bear Trap death timer.
This ones really good for when you wanna try and go for a head pop, they're still rare but I'd say it gives about another 10% chance for the RNG to be kind to you. Reduces it by 30 seconds from 2 and a half mins.
Jigsaw's Annotated Plan
Increases available Jigsaw Boxes by 1.
Just a really good add-on, I use it with Tampered Timer mostly, but it works fine with Combat Straps too.
Crate of Gears
Considerably increases the time it takes Survivors to search a Jigsaw Box.
Moderately decreases the time it takes to put the Reverse Bear Trap on a Survivor.
Again bugged I believe, but it's a straight 0.3 reduction in time it takes to search a box and still doesn't slow it, just turns the bar red. But the speed here is just a plain upgrade from the Rare version and is a 0.5 reduction in time, so a straight 50% action speed boost.
Amanda's Secret
Disables The Pig's ability to see Jigsaw Boxes' Auras.
Gain a notification when a Survivor removes a Reverse Bear Trap.
Auras of Survivors removing a Reverse Bear Trap are revealed to you for 6 seconds.
This one is kinda bad but also not..it removes the mindgame ability of knowing where all your traps are, but also adds the ability to know where the survivor is if they're removed. It's a trade off and can sometimes help, in my opinion it's only good for using an Ebony Memento Mori since it just tells you where the guy you last hooked and trapped is.

Ultra Rare
Rules Set No.2
Disables the Survivors' ability to see Jigsaw Boxes highlighted until their Trap is activated.
This should just be in her base kit, this is actually useless.
Amanda's Letter
While crouched, see outlines of Survivors within 12 metres of range.
Reduces available Reverse Bear Traps by 3.
Reduces available Jigsaw Boxes by 2.
This is her best add-on in terms of strength, and this is where you go "I'm going to run whispers and ruin, and go crouch all game." It's also massively BS on her map and Lery's.
Perks and my Thoughts
This will be thoughts on perks on this killer, and will be updated anytime a new killer is FULLY released.

Rare Perks

Unnerving Prescense
It's a fun one, and works rather well on Pig surprisingly, and combos with her add-ons rather well, due to the sheer fact she has at least two add-ons that can be used with this, I frequent this in my builds for fun. But it's clearly not the best pick possible, good for when you get it early on when leveling and need something.

Stridor
I'd say Stridor was one of my favorite perks back when sounds were buggy, they fixed sounds and it ended up becoming less useful for me, but when I wanna wound everyone with Thanatophobia, this helps a lot on finding them. I believe it also might increase the noises of the reverse bear-trap, but don't quote me on that one, it could be a placebo effect.

Sloppy Butcher
Ever since it got updated, this sucker was really good for pig now, and makes the fact that her Mangled add-on is unnecessary if you have this on. Combo it with a Coulrophobia and a Thanatophobia and you become everyones worst nightmare, especially on the Jigsaw Map.

Predator
This one got some nice changes that makes it able to track survivors much more easily, but I feel like it's still pretty useless, for the newer killers this perk is a godsend, but for a veteran killer it becomes a really forgettable perk still.

Overwhelming Prescense
Could be good for pig in some cases, like if the enemy team has a bunch of held items..but that's also the case for every killer, I think this one just is a niche pick.

Knock Out
This one really does just allow you to get some nice gameplay going, not only is the person bleeding out on the ground, but you can also have a bear-trap on them. So that means as soon as they get up, they just have to waste more time healing and then also trying to get the trap off their head if you decide to go slug-build. Decent for specific builds.

Iron Grasp
This one is similar to how it is for a lot of killers..except it changes the way you wanna play entirely, since if you decide to drag someone to the basement, and then someone pops a gen, and the guy has a trap on it, you've basically just given yourself a free kill if you're evil and patient, just crouch at the stairs when they try and leave basement, and wait for the timer to stop ticking.

Hex: Thrill of the Hunt
You'll find a lot of use for this with certain hex builds, same for most killers, so no explanation necessary here, good perk but I don't use it often.

Hangman's Trick
This perk came with the pig and the only person who really loves it is Trapper, I feel like it's a really underused perk because of how niche it is, if all survivors could sabotage passively, at a slower rate, then this perk could become the meta perk, but only if they made that change.

Fire Up
This one is really good for combo'ing with a Brutal Strength, especially if you don't wanna waste time mind-gaming or save it for crucial moments. You end up just becoming a pallet eating demon.

Enduring
This has quickly become my favorite perk in the game, and you'd think "Wait why?" But of course it's because of how the Pig mind-games players, you can really just tank a hit of a pallet to make it not really matter that you wasted any time, because you recover so fast. In the end, this perk is probably her best perk due to her power.

Deerstalker
Another slug build perk, I really under-use these, but I have fun once in awhile with it.

Beast of Prey
I'll be honest, this perk is probably the most useless perk in the game for me unless I'm chasing someone forever, and even then never gets any use from me because I can just mind-game with my red stain.

Bamboozle
Amazingly good for countering those nasty window loops, hard to mind-game vs windows as Pig, so if you feel like you wanna just avoid them entirely, use this and make sure you get rid of a primary window while chasing someone, like at killer shack jump through the window real quick and continue chasing to force them out or force pallet. Good but I don't always use it.

Very Rare Perks

Whispers
Her second best perk in the game, Whispers is a god-send only because of the sheer fact that it tells you when a survivor is nearby before they even enter your terror radius, so you can just start crouching once you know a survivor is nearby, probably the closest gen, and then maybe get a free lunge hit if you're sneaky enough. I use this a lot.

Unrelenting
Sadly it doesn't work with her lunge, if it did it'd be her best god-danged perk. 0/10

Tinkerer
I'll be honest, new Tinkerer isn't that great for her, but can see some use, she already can hide her terror radius, best thing is just knowing that someone is about to complete a gen so you can know when to bear-trap someone if you have them on the ground or something.

Thanatophobia
Amazing combo perk, this one really just feels good with certain add-ons for Pig, only use with certain builds to really screw over survivors.

Territorial Imperative
Great when you're going for the basement cuck build, ruin someones game by just sitting at the top of stairs and making them wish they could die IRL while the timer ticks.

Surveillance
Actually the most useless perk in the game, I've had more use out of Third Seal than this bad boy. Thanks BHVR.

Spies from the Shadows
Obviously better picks, and can sometimes just confuse you, if they end up changing it or how woodland creatures work, then this bad boy could become meta, otherwise meh.

Shadowborn
This ones actually really good, up there with my other meta perks, but I don't use it as much as them, it makes it so your view is wider and works while crouched, which can really help for objects taller than you.

Save the Best for Last
And this is my third favorite perk since it got updated, thank you BHVR for redeeming yourselves. This one is really freakin' good, abuse it and avoid hitting the obsession as much as possible to reduce a lot of time for yourself.

Remember Me
Pig is a lategame killer, so a lategame perk never hurts, it's really strong with her and can screw over survivors hard. I don't always use it, but when I do, I love it.

Pop Goes the Weasel
This ones just amazing honestly, I don't use it much, but with Pig being a lategame killer, you can really make games last forever with this perk.

Play with your Food
If you wanna start crouch-running, this is the perk for you, you really do just become stupidly fast while crouched. Memey Perk/10

Overcharge
Slap this bad boy on with Pop Goes the Weasel and Unnerving, survivors will either be godlike at skillchecks and not really be affected by it, or hate you forever.

Monstrous Shrine
This ones not great, if you're building for a basement build you're probably trying to ruin a survivors day, not make them die to hook.

Monitor & Abuse
This ones an alternative to Shadowborn if you find it harder to hit survivors while chasing them with the increased FOV, it helps and also shrinks your terror radius a bit, works even better with Whispers too.

Make Your Choice
Her best perk that came with her that isn't niche or useless, but still doesn't find much use from me because she's not exactly mobile. It works great with Amanda's Letter though, so I'd say use this for only ruining that persons day.

Lightborn
Counter survivors that are really good with flashlights..or look away, either way works.

Insidious
I can stand still AND have no terror radius? Wow, I never knew I could do that. *Presses Crouch instead.*

Hex: Third Seal
Good for a memey Blind Piggy build, because why not?
Perks and my Thoughts Part 2
Stupid Text Limiter..

Hex: Ruin
Best perk in the game, always a top tier perk, honestly overpowered in my opinion, I don't find myself using it much anymore, others would disagree that this perk is too strong, but as a veteran killer main, even at Rank 1 playing as Pig without this is easy as long as you hold traps until the exit gates are powered, especially since the BNP nerfs. Use it as a crutch if you want, but I won't be.

Hex: No One Escapes Death
Just like Ruin, it's a crutch perk for killer players, and it's only good for people that really need it, I won't be using it or Ruin much anymore in my builds except for like, meme One-Hit builds.

Hex: Huntress Lullaby
Even though this one isn't that great, it's basically if Ruin wasn't a crutch perk, it's super good and feels amazing to use without being too unfair for survivors. Too bad it doesn't affect Jigsaw traps or else you'd get to see a lot more head pops.

Hex: Devour Hope
This ones fun, rarely see it on Pig players, I use it sometimes and always get 5 stacks because no one ever finds the damned totem. RNGesus is with me.

Franklin's Demise
Just the better version of Lightborn, with the added effect of making someone with a white ward or someone who DC's unable to get it back. Perfecto.

Dying Light
I don't find much use for this, but I suppose you could make a decent tunnel build and win the game by focusing the survivor with Amanda's Secret.

Distressing
This ones really funny, because you have such a huge terror radius, then you crouch and then it's gone. Can be good for mind-games or certain builds.

Coulrophobia
Glad this exists, super good for certain builds, just make sure you always bring a Sloppy Butcher with you!

Brutal Strength
My favorite perk right beside Enduring, you just get a lot of time taken off and become able to really ruin the late game for survivors without it being too strong.

Bloodhound
When the audio was bugged I used to use this a lot, now it's not that great but still a decent perk for survivors who have a hard time tracking. Equal to stridor in terms of usefulness in my opinion.

Blood Warden
Did you say lategame build? Yep lategame build. Make them wish they didn't fall into your game.

Bitter Murmer
The changes make this actually a really good perk for tracking survivors while crouched. I use it now and again.

Barbeque & Chilli
I mean yeah this is just a good farming perk, also stupid good at tracking survivors with it, just use it if you need bloodpoints, otherwise I'd just forget about it and go with Bitter Murmer for tracking.

Agitation
Basement build...that is all.

A Nurse's Calling
Amazing perk, one of her top tier ones, I'd say you'd love this a lot really and won't regret having it on your person, allows for the best of Ambushes. I don't always use it, but I still love it.

Spirit Fire
This perk right here is such a good perk with Pig, right now I feel like this is probably one of her best perks again, just because of how well it combo's with perks that are already great with her. Put this together with Enduring and Brutal Strength and you become a pallet munching monster.

Hex: Haunted Ground
This one is really good with Ruin, since it's a 1 in 3 chance that the survivors will pop the wrong totem, and even then they don't really expect a Pig to be running this, so even if they pop ruin, they might just pop this anyways. It's a good perk on any killer really and works just as well on Pig.

Rancor
Lategame perk, Lategame killer..obviously works well on Pig, I just don't use it much, it's a very "I hate the obsession who runs decisive" perk. Use it if you really dislike decisive, otherwise there are perks that can screw over survivors more than this one.
Piggy Perk & Add-on Loadouts
My Current Builds

The Main Build
Enduring/Save the Best for Last/Brutal Strength/Barbeque & Chilli
Combat Straps/Video Tape
Right now my main build consists of four perks revolving around not making me too strong, but being strong enough to beat survivors without being unfair. I run BBQ for Points so I can finish a few characters off and newer killers off. The Combat Straps and Video Tape are my go-to add-ons just because they are her strongest for mind-games.

Blinder Oinker
Third Seal/Thrill of the Hunt/Knock Out/Monitor & Abuse
Rules Set No.2/Face Mask
Just a memey blind build, good for goofing around and making survivors annoyed, especially at early ranks.

Basement Bully
Territorial Imperative/Agitation/Iron Grasp/Whispers
Tampered Timer/John's Medical File
This ones just for specifically getting a head pop off of blocking the entrance of basement, I only use this if I'm angry. Meme wisely, my children. John's Medical File for spamming Oink's at survivors without lunging.

One-Hit Wonder-Pig
Make Your Choice/NOED/Devour Hope/Thrill of the Hunt
Amanda's Secret/Combat Straps
This ones for making your enemies get one shot, forever. Just protect your totems when you can, especially using crouch if you can have the time for it. Amanda's Secret for finding a survivor easier after they get unhooked.

Anti-Healer Oinker
A Nurse's Calling/Sloppy Butcher/Thanatophobia/Coulrophobia
Slow-Release Toxin/Combat Straps
This ones great, and I love it as my secondary build. When you wanna just ruin someones day, use this. Toxin for making it even harder for the Injured. Can also swap combat straps and sloppy butcher for the mangled add-on and then Bloodhound.

Time to slow this game DOWN
Pop Goes the Weasel/Huntress' Lullaby/Brutal Strength/Tinkerer
Tampered Timer/Jigsaw's Sketch
This one just really slows the game down, I go with Huntress' Lullaby over Ruin to be more fair. You probably win with this build either way if played right.

Lategame Oinks
Blood Warden/Remember Me/Fire Up/Brutal Strength
Combat Straps/Jigsaw's Sketch
This one is literally just you becoming Freddy Krueger, his perks are so great for lategame.

Slugger Pig
Knock Out/Deerstalker/Whispers/Save the Best for Last
Last Will/Face Mask
Just really good for making survivors slugged, and makes it so slugged survivors can't see their allies when you put a trap on their head, trying to deny some team play.

That's all my builds for now, might add more when newer killers come out, and I'll keep updating the perks too, I'll have to keep adding more sections though, rip steam text limits.
THANK YOU!
We've successfully reached 5000 views on my guide, when making this guide I did not think it would reach such a high number of views, I hope everyone enjoyed the read and I hope I helped many players become more attatched to the lovely Amanda. I'll continue updating this guide everytime a new update comes out, but I might be slow, I always make sure to test out the new perks before I actually add them into the guide. And if there ever comes a time for a Pig Rework, this guide too will be Reworked.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

(That emote is by a friend of mine, Adamiro, he drew this and a few other emotes of Pig for my stream!)

Just to point out, by default the RBTs are right click, not ctrl, ctrl is the default crouch.

Went ahead and updated the guide with my stream link attatched to it now, I'm still doing testing with the new Legion perks, Spirits perks were added awhile back, and I've not made any changes to the builds yet but my new main build for Pig is definitely different now, but only by one perk really. I'll give you guys an update when I can and eventually I plan on doing Map strategies, once I feel I've mastered every map enough to give guaranteed descriptions on how to play on that map.
