IF you have these problems I found a quick fix for it (you might know this already) but some people don't know it, especially people who are new to Red Faction (like myself). I found a fix to these problems and it took me 2 hours

The easiest fix to Frame rate and resolution problem is Pure Faction .

It is a small launcher for Red Faction that allow you to change Frame rate and fix the resolution it is easy to use (I don't know if this launcher have any virus or other bad things so far I did not find anything that is suspicious )

1. you need to run the game ones B4 using this launcher

3 to install this launcher you need to find your game location. if you don't know how to find your game location , watch this video

4. install the launcher in the game location (I found my game location and I copy it into notepad file for this video. It is the 2nd time I install this launcher that why it is know my game location already it will be different for you guys)

5. you need to do some change in your game files . 1 . go to your game location you will see red icon that name "Red Faction" make a new folder and move that file to that folder 2. then copy the file name ("Red Faction" I mean) . 3 look for a file named "PFLauncher". when you find it rename it to "Red Faction" . 4 now when you open the game form steam it will launch Pure Faction launcher not the original launcher Red Faction

I usually put in on Normal window: default red faction Full screen mode
2 client port
I don't not touch it
3. there is 3 check box down to the left side
I checked Fast start . it lunch the game faster .
B: server setup
I don't do anything there I like to play single player :)
C: game settings
first part in for resulation you
put 2nd part to 32bit
and i put rendering cache to 10
then save the change

1 lunch the game
2. in the main menu, push F1 key on your keyboard to open the pure launcher mode
3 find option, then click on it
4 in the options area look at the top right side and you will see a box that said "frame limit " click on it and then change the frame rate to whatever you want.
