Decapitation-gore texture replacer

This Mod replaces the Decapitation-gore texture with a new texture of the size 2048x2048.

I made a new texture, because the vanilla texture was seriously too small. It only had a resolution of 128x128, which is way too small for a modest looking texture (if you ask me!).
I took some textures of Fallout 3, altered them and used other effects and improvements to reach a high quality standard. I thought that also a good amount of mipmaps is important to keep the detail on range and therefore added many different layers of mipmaps with different resolutions!

My goal was to improve the texture in matters of resolution and quality, so that the gore and blood looks more freshly decaptitated. The vanilla texture looked too dry for my taste, and I don´t think a fresh decaptitated head looks dry :P



On Skyrim Workshop, there´s only the darker version of the 2048x2048 texture.

On the Skyrim Nexus you can choose between a resolution of 512x512, 1024x1024, 2048x2048 or 4096x4096. These are all available in a brighter and a darker version. You can see the differences on the screenshots on the Nexus
