Introduction
This is a simple listing of the various potions you can come across in the game, and what exactly it is they do. If any information is wrong, or you think something is missing, please let me know. This is a work in progress, and I plan to add screenshots of each potion and perhaps a bit about crafting with the potions. I may also expand this to a complete consumables list.
Helpful Potions
The following potions will not harm the character if they are consumed. Well, except for the Solution of Gold.

  • Haematic Phylactery - Restores 20 MP and 50 + (.5 x magic power) HP.
  • Hyperborean Potion - Raises Hyperborean Damage by 2, and Hyperborean Resistance by 6 for 90 turns.
  • Infernal Potion - Raises Conflagratory Damage by 2, and Conflagratory Resistance by 6 for 90 turns.
  • Voltaic Potion - Raises Voltaic Damage by 2, and Voltaic Resistance by 6 for 90 turns.
  • Potion of Alchemical Inspiration - Raises Alchemy by 1 for 30 turns.
  • Potion of Clear Vision - Raises your Critical Chance by 3, Sight Radius by 2, and your Trap Sight Radius by 2 for 75 turns.
  • Potion of Dire Empowerment - Raises Necromantic Resistance, Necromantic Damage, and Melee Power by 1 each, and Critical Chance by 2. Lasts 47 turns.
  • Potion of Healing - Restores 20 HP.
  • Potion of Invisibility - Lowers Sight Radius by 2, and turns you invisible for 24 turns. Taking an action will break your invisibility.
  • Potion of Lively Regeneration - Restores 3 HP a turn for 12 turns.
  • Potion of Mana - Restores 22 MP.
  • Potion of Midas - Casts Midas on the next 12 melee targets you attack. Making a ranged attack will result in one of the charges being wasted.
  • Potion of Purity - Removes curse.
  • Potion of Radiance - Raises your characters Righteous Damage, Righteous Resistance, Sight Radius, and Sagacity by 2 each for 47 turns.
  • Potion of Replenishment - Restores 26 HP and 30 MP.
  • Potion of Steeling - Raises your Armor Absorption for 5 hits.
  • Spatial Instability Infusion - Teleports your character to a random location on the current floor.
  • Solution of Gold - Casts Midas on your character. (This will cause harm to your character but generate gold coins in the process, so we're going to call this helpful.)

Potions you should probably not drink
The following potions are used in crafting and should not be consumed under most circumstances.

  • Acidum Salis - Causes Acid Burn.
  • Alchemical Ooze - Lowers Health by 5 and Health Regen by 15 for 20 turns.
  • Aqua Fortis - Causes Acid Burn.
  • Aqua Regia - Causes Acid Burn.
  • Aqua Vitae - Causes Alcohol Poisoning.
  • Oil of Vitriol - Causes Acid Burn.
  • Verdant Poison - Lowers all of your main stats by 1, Health by 8, and Health Regen by 4 for 35 turns.

Even though it's been a long time, it's not like the devs went and changed things up. I'd imagine it's still accurate, but am slightly curious if the healing potion, mana potion, and potion of replenishment (mana+hp) are the same or buffed

Yeah, this could easily be out dated now. I haven't played the game in years.

Should add the Potion of Repunishment. I'm not 100% sure if it was modded or added by an expansion, but it looks almost identical to the Potion of Replenishment, and hurts a lot.

This guide was made to give info on the effects of potions you find so you don't kill yourself drinking random things, not info on how to craft items or food.

This list would be a lot more helpful, if you listed the ingredients and how to obtain them. For instance, I read another guide that used Invisibility potions, and the author listed the ingredients, where they are found and if they can be crafted. Also, food would be a good addition since it basically a potion.

Glad this reference list is here

Pizzacat, you can drink the dangerous potions in combat, but it won't help you win (you can't throw them at enemies)
