Even if you die the game does not end it just enough to do this:

After each chapter, just get out of the game and the game is saved.

When you die, go to the menu and start again from the appropriate chapter where you died.

Places where there are bumping spikes from the walls, so just use magical scroll, which is only at the end of chapter 10 but nothing prevents you from using it even though you have not found it yet, just have specific runes.

You'll be immortal for a couple of seconds, and you'll go through trouble spots.

You can also use this tactic against the enemies you want to trap, because it can not be attacked during the duration of the spell.
