The Perfect Title
The first thing you need to do when creating the perfect guide is to decide what you will be guiding people about. Once you have your spark of inspiration you are ready to tackle the first major part of creating the ultimate guide, the title.

You'll need a title that tells people what they are getting into when they read this guide. You'll want a title that brings about a level of curiosity to them as well. Perhaps maybe even a title that leaves them with a little intrigue. Using the word 'guide' can be helpful to get the idea that your guide is in fact a guide and not a grocery list. These are all good ideas, and I have some sample guide titles below:

  • Archimedes and the Quick Fix Guide
  • A Guide to the Loose Cannon or Bootlegger
  • Capping a Point for Points
  • African or European Swallow and did they use string?
  • The Untimely Guide to Timing
  • Super Awesome Epic Guide to Blank
  • Dear Santa, Where's my Wagon?

Acceptable Content
Now that you have an idea and a title to go with it, you'll need content! This can appear to be the simplest part of the entire guide making process, but it's in fact very tricky. You'll need to make sure that the content that you are including in your guide is actually about your guide. And you'll want to make sure that your content is guiding the reader along in an understandable fashion. It must remain cohesive and coherent!

You don't want the reader running away from your guide like my cat did last week after I forgot to feed her. Sure it was like the fifth time in a row that I had forgotten, but its not like she doesn't steal pieces of chicken off my plate anyways. Not to mention how she's learned to surgically remove a single slice of roast beef from my sandwiches when I make them. And once she's claimed something, there's no way I'm trying to take it back from her.

I still have the scars from last time, when she decided that the last of the tuna in the bowl was to be hers. It was a frightening ten minutes, but I managed to survive with my life intact. Unlike that time with the gerbils, don't get me started on the gerbils.
Grammatically Astounding
Grammar Nazis are everywhere and unless you want them to swoop down onto youre beloved little guide you would do best to maintain good and proper grammar it can be hard some times thats what she said but with a little research and some ample spellchecks youll have it locked down tight in no time at all thats what she said it might seems like such a small thing for someone to complain about but the real fact of the matter is that there are alot of people out there that obsess with the failings of others and unfortunately your bad grammar would be like giving a small child a push pop dont push me push a push pop i cant stress this enough just how important it is that youre grammar is good you really don't want to deal with all the comments pointing out flaws.
101 Proof
Once you've completed your content and checks for all grammar issues, now you want to give the guide a quick read through to make sure its exactly kittens, and that you are happy with it.

It can also help to have a friend read things over, as an extra pair* of eyes can often benefit.

*As a warning, I would not recommend having any cycloptic friends.
Post-Post Posting
Once you are done and happy with your guide, it's time to post it. Posting the guide is as simple and moving the mouse slightly and clicking a couple times.

But once its posted, you have to prepare yourself for the post-posting extravaganza, which really means that after some time you might get some comments. Good or bad you'll need to be ready for them.

Positive Comments: Thank the commentor and continue on.

Negative Comments: Reply back to the commentor pointing out all of the flaws in their backwards logic that they must have, because there isn't any way you could have gotten anything wrong. The use of profanity can also be used at this point, given the severity of the remarks.
Conclusions
Thank you for reading my guide on Creating the Perfect TF2 Guide, I hope you enjoyed it and that it helps you in all your future TF2 guide creating!
