But seriously, you want help in the asthetic design of your first few workshops/Stock pile? This is what i do...
find a massive bit of unmine land (which you have) then mak a 20 x 20/30 x 30 OR 40 x 40 (set this stock to take EVERYTHING appart from soil) then create a 4x4 SOIL ONLY stock pile... then for your work shops, make them 9x9 then you can fit them complimentarily and work faster (stone cutter with stone mason/saw mill with carpenter/kitchen with butcher etc)... if this helps then i have a favor to ask....
i noticed that at the start, you set your gnomes to cut/clip and forage (neglecting the farms) yet every time i do this i always run out of straw by summer and my yaks are dead around the 8th of summer EVERY TIME!
