I said "fuck that noise" and wetn around and bought up tech modules. About every third vendor has a few of them, easy as heck to hoard up a pile while running around looking for better multi-tools and blueprints on planets.

I stopped looking at any burried tech less than 200 u away, and it made the game a lot more playable.
