How to find more lobbies
Da Killer-Fackur
Download a file, put it in duckgames folder and voilà.
It will then show more lobbies in the server browser and when finding a game

Downloading the file and putting it in the folder
You can download the file here: SteamDll[drive.google.com]
I think most browsers will warn that it could be a harmful file since it's a dll or executeable.

Then you put it inside the steam duckgame folder which is by default in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DuckGame and then you replace the Steam.dll file thats already in there.

If you cant find the folder goto the steam Library tab, right click on Duck Game and select properties; from here you Select the LOCAL FILES tab and then click the BROWSE LOCAL FILES button, it will then open the correct folder.

What it actually does
This does the exact same thing as in the beta, where lobby searches use k_ELobbyDistanceFilterFar instead of the current which is k_ELobbyDistanceFilterDefault.

It doesn't guarantee that there's always a bunch of lobbies open, but on average it will improve a lot.

The order of the lobbies are based off distance and not latency (top is closest and bottom is the furthest away), and playing with players in close approximity and sloppy connections is just as good as playing with those in neighboring countries with good connections.

I really don't get why you'd care about the trustworthyness of this dll when literally every mod you download has the same risk of containing a virus. (since they're also dlls from the internet)

Because nobody should trust you or me that the file is safe.

But if its the same checksum as the one in the beta why not just download it instead of going through the extra steps which would inevitably cause a lot more confusion. I guess i can mention it in the guide, but i want to keep the instructions part as simple as possible (experience from other guides)

And the Steam.dll wrapper was written by the duckgame developer and he just changed the Steam.SearchForLobbies method. It has nothing to do with steam.

This is not safe to do. I checked the md5 sum, and this is just the dll from Beta, but you shouldn't just download executables from the internet and use them, especially if they are associated with Steam. The safe way to do this is switch to Beta, make a copy of the Steam.dll from beta, switch back to release, rename you Steam.dll, and put your copy of the Beta dll into the Duck Game folder, named Steam.dll.
