How to prepare borderlands 2 for modding [OBSOLETE]

theres no real guide on steam over preparing this game to be modded so lets get going

BLCMM: its the easiest way to prepare the game with hex injection and console key set up, you will need java to be able to open it however

getting it done (mostly)

So, now that you have BLCMM

Open it up, wait for it to check for updates and press the launch button (press ok if a message pops up btw)

after this you should get this window, in it press apply and that will edit your games .exe with a hex editor

after you do this, click on console key and select the one that you prefer ( i personally use F9 ), If everything worked the way it should, it should look like this

press ok and you should be done with this part

where to put the mod files (and a few mod recommendations)

so now that you got the lengthy part out of the way. you will need to know where to put the mods

open your borderlands 2 folder and there will be this folder

this is where you want to put the .txt files, just toss em there like this and thats it, you have a new mod ready to be used

also, to execute the mods, open the game, press the console key you picked and type in exec + the name of the mod (also type in .txt)

@Sarah I downloaded the BLCMM, and the Hexedit executable cant be fixed, it says "Error" for BL2 but for Pre-Sequel is Installed. How do I fix it for it to be installed?

Yo guys, Needed some help on modding BL2 ive tried many ways and methods but nothing seem to work. Would love to try for example reborn mod for a fun time. Could anyone add me and talk me thru it? Would really appreciate it.

Important : U have to launch the mods everytime u run the game and if u forgot one time u can loose some guns u get !

hello everyone, yeah after the update its down (even if u do again the step with hexedit so maybe we r gonna have an update soon "i swear")
So the supposed "hd texture are automaticaly download and enable now? i dont see the difference.
If you've got some news about blcmm, answer here guys ^^

Hexedit Executable shows an error after the recent BL2 update not allowing Mods to work.

Checked for an update of BLCMM and even reinstalled but neither worked.

@Sarah don't worry, turns out the sanity checks didn't bother me at all (i didn't get any weapons or items deleted), but also turns out that if you don't have all DLCs the game crashes like crazy evey few minutes, i apreciate your help none the less :)
