Introduction
People will say, "There's no counter to decisive strike." They'll tell you that there's only certain perks that remotely help against DS, like Unnerving or Enduring, but there is no such thing as a full counter.

Those people are wrong. I am going to teach you the true counter to Decisive Strike*.

*It works a tested 90% of the time
Step #1
Find and down your obsession. If you're not running any obsession perks, then this person is probably running you know what. Proceed to pick them up and get ready for the next step.

Yes, I know it's not my obsession. I'm too lazy to get an actual screenshot. Just roll with me here. Oh yeah, you don't have to slug everyone in this step.
Step #2
Once you're free to move again, begin shaking your mouse VIGOROUSLY. The more disorienting you are, the better. Some things to mention are:

  • If you have a gaming mouse that can increase DPI (sensitivity) with a button click, then make sure you max it out as you're picking the survivor up to fully engage your spinning.
  • If you have a large mousepad, this also helps a lot for more "consistent" movement.

You should shake for about 3 seconds or so, until one of the two transitions occur in Step #3.
Step #3
This next step will be divided into two different possibilities.

The Survivor starts wiggling

Victory! You have successfully countered Decisive Strike! Carry them to the hook and start nodding in your own contentment! Smile for the camera!

The Survivor stabs you in the back and runs away

♥♥♥♥.
Conclusions and Calculations
The chances of this working are fairly high at mid-ranks, but the chances descend as you go higher up in Survivor ranks. Usually it depends on how much of a tryhard the survivor is. If they're not a tryhard, they'll probably be confused or laugh from the tactic, resulting in a victory for you. If they're a tryhard, the extra sweat frothing on their greasy forehead will produce, as they focus all of their brain cells into hitting the skillcheck. All in all, a very effective strategy.

Concluding Disclaimer

In all seriousness here, this guide can be seen as either a joke or an actual method, both of which I intended it to be. You can use this as an actual 'method,' or you can do it just to meme as Killer. The chances of the Survivor missing the skillcheck aren't really able to be calculated, but definitely are possible. In several games I've had, doing this strategy has actually worked, but as you go higher in ranks, the chances do decrease. Just do it everytime, that way you can at least laugh a little or a lot, depending on which result you get.

"Dribbling"
Also known as Juggling, I've decided to throw in this 'bonus strategy' into the guide. Since nobody would shut up about it in the comments.

Dribbling is a cycle where the Killer picks a survivor up, and drops them, so that they cannot hit their decisive. This is repeated until the Killer gets to a hook, or the survivor inevitably slips out of grasp.

Calculations - Math Shįt

A Killer can pick up and drop a survivor about four times in a row. On the fifth turn, the killer instantly drops the survivor (or loses them very soon as they're picked back up). This will still stun the killer, albeit shorter than decisive strike's stun.

As soon as a survivor with decisive strike is picked up (and the killer can move again), it takes a bare minimum of ~1.03 seconds for a player to complete the skill check (Suggesting that the skill check region spawned as close to the 'compass' as possible). Since this is fairly rare, it'll usually take 2 seconds for a survivor w/ DS to complete a skill check.

That being said, a dribbling Killer will usually drop a decisive survivor a little over every second (riskier players may go higher). Suggesting that the average Killer's carry speed is 3.68 m/s, a Killer can carry a survivor about 4 meters each 'turn,' up to an average of 16 maximum.

Using Agitation will increase a Killer's carry speed up to 4.34 m/s, when at Tier III. Redoing the math, you can now carry survivors up to about 4.5 meters per turn, up to 18 meters maximum.

Evaluation - What it means

If you're willing to go this far to counter decisive strike, just take the L, man. More than half the time, you're going to be too far from a hook to dribble someone effectively. At that point, you might as well let them stab you (instead of delaying the inevitable). Yes, it contradicts the entire point of the guide, but it's sparing you some precious time in your Killer games.

On the other hand, if you were lucky enough to down someone with DS close enough to a hook, go for it. If you have the God-given ability to predict distance in Dead by Daylight, go for it. If you need to drop that survivor to tie your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shoe, go for it.

But Most Importantly

You can't be called out for using a toxic strat, when the one you're fighting against is using an equally toxic strat. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

Or just run Enduring which makes D-Strike super infective and down them in 2 seconds, but you know if you want to waste time by flinging your mouse around and dribbling, go right on ahead.

When I do killer matches, the fact I caught and downed the person running DS implies, guess what, I can do it again if they escape, bite the bullet, it's not toxic, as most killers tell new survivors, get good.

One thing you forget it that there's places and times you can actually hard counter it. For example in the killer shack. Just stand with your back to the edge of the drop to the stairs and if they don't have balanced landing they will lose A LOT of time. If you have enduring too it basicaly makes it so you can't miss getting them down immediately. This also works from the 2nd floor of buildings too.

75% will miss qte for ds anyway w/e you do...
If they dont miss then it means qte was to close for them to hit
Unless you play some proleague rank 10 below, you dont have to give shiit about it.

its not the perk or the strategy that are toxic, it's HOW they are used that makes them toxic...context is very important. I personally dont mind ds when im killer as u only get it one time during a match. I do understand how it can make ppl mad after you chase one guy the entire match, and he specifically uses it to waste time, not use it in a way that correlates with actual skill
