The Bends with the Farmer
DUSK (also probably known as DOOSK by it's biggest Swedish fan, Vinesauce Joel) is essentially a throwback to 1990s FPS shooters, before "the dark times" of cover shooters, hand holding, blah, blah, I'm pretty certain if you're reading this, you are familiar with the basics of DUSK: You've got big guns, they have YUUGE guts, you need to follow get the damn key/s, and allies don't exist.

Endless is basically: You select a map, a difficulty, then you survive wave after wave of increasingly difficult enemies that spawn in with each wave. S I M P L E.

Now the map itself:
The Farm is a great entryway into the mode, and is currently the "easiest". The Farm has most of the enemies of the first episode (barring Bosses, Rats, and Soldiers) return to presumably talk to you very nicely for commiting mass murder, I'm joking of course, Endless doesn't have lore, it never will too. All weapons are nicely given to you, with some ammo.

Geography, and features included are:
- Two Jumppads (one in the north of the barn, and one in the south of the same barn)
- A barn with ramp (two Assault Rifle mags, and the weapon itself spawn here)
- Inside the barn, a Pistol, some ammo, aswell as a Weapon Fire-increase rune pickup will spawn here.
- In the south (clockwise from north) you have a Shotgun, some Shotgun shells, then a crossbow, some energy bolts, then the Mortar, and some Grenades.
- Three Silos to the North, the middle one has a secret door which provides the sword, a medikit, and some coins for your morale. In front of them, and the N. Jumppad will be some rifle rounds, and a Hunting Rifle, and to the far right of them, a Super Shotgun with some shells.

Newbs guide to l33t schooling of epic wave nerds
Healthy Tips for Healthy Teens:
  • This isn't some 2010s FPS where human enemies hide behind crates, you'll need to ALWAYS be on the move, each enemy will try to f**k you up regardless.
  • Trees, the Excavator, and everything but Haybales? (and buildings) can be destroyed, since enemies don't use cover, you will inevitiably need them to
  • Healthpacks, and half of each ammunition don't respawn, ALWAYS prioritize healthpacks when your health is below <25, instead farm Health Bonuses, keep your morale maxed at the start of each wave when the Diamond starts spawning next to the plank of the barn. Stress to say it again, Movement, is a defence, U S E I T.
  • Don't waste Rivets on weak enemies, use the Mortar instead, that's what it's there for, in fact, don't waste ammo of enemies that don't need it, the Pistol is pretty pointless yes, but Black Phillips, and Mages will still get btfo'd regardless. Farm "expensive" ammunition for enemies like Scarecrows, and Fork Maidens.
  • Try to start infights, it will save ammunition ;).
  • Don't enter melee, it's not a wise choice.

Now we will look at the enemies:

Shubb-Niggurath's Pet Goat: These fellas clop more than a 35-year old fedora wearing brony, and like to spit at you like that Punk Rocker bully you knew in grade 7. The Black Phillips are nimble, and their projectile is quick aswell, though it will deal neligible damage (5-12) they "charge" up first, and can be baited pretty easy. The Phillips are a big priority until they fade away like Thanos' enemies, just ashes in the wind beyond Wave 25. Tactics: Strafe-circle them, and blast them with the Super Shotgun, or Crossbow.

Kool Kid's Klubsman: Slow bois that like seperating more than just laundry in the washing machine, these guys "throw" fireballs at you (and whatever ally of theirs that reminded them of Vietnam) The Fireballs in question are quick, and deal-A LOTTA DAMAGE! In Endless, 15-25 damage is everything when Medikits don't exist beyond the first two, contrast to MP and SP where 15-25 damage is next to nothing. Use Super Shotguns, Crossbows, Strafing, and Jumppads.

Philidelphia Chainsaw Massacre: These absolute units suck up ammo, so Hunting Rifles are a great counter, and stay out of their way, in theory, much like classic Doom, you could simply bait them, much like the Pinky Demon, though Endless Mode means you fight against several enemies, so don't bother. Running away is a neat trick, and they can be herded as well.

Farmer Ted is Awful Lonely, so he dug up his wife, and got some elder god to revive his rotting wife! aka The Grandma that hates you: Slow, Loud, and sucks up all damage, the Fork Maiden is a nuiscence and are your second worst enemy in DUSK Endless, they will give upto 30-50 damage to you, but their charge up is slow, as is their projectile. Sidesteping and Strafing left-right out of the way is a great tactic, utilzing the Hunting Rifle, and Riveter, and if need-be finishing off with the Super Shotgun.

Redneck Crow Spooker: These guys think they're hot stuff, with their Super Shotguns that deal too much damage per projectile, take two direct rivets to off (three with blast damage) thus taking too much punishment (don't worry, Cowgirls are worse) The Scarecrow is tall, pretty quick and dangerously quiet, they will be your prime focus, so get them out ASAP. The Riveter, and if you wasted your Rivets, the Mortar, and Hunting Rifle are there for you.

Now movement:
Like Doom 2016, and the fifty times I already told you. Movement. IS. DEFENSE.

Never stand still, unless you are a crap shot with the Hunting Rifle of course. You will need to utilize Strafe-Jumping, Bunny Hoping, Jumping, Jumppads, sliding, crouching, Crouch "leaping" (which is essentially a Psuedo Max Payne-esque leap where you jump, then quickly crouch while in the air)

Using the Barn roof, and the ramp are great, keeping to the tree-line walls and circling around the map is also a great idea (providing enemies aren't in your way), using jump-pads to get on the barn, aswell as skipping areas is a fantastic idea.

Weaponry:

Pistol/s - Mostly useless, though they turn into Machine Pistols with the Weapon-Fire Rune, though using them against Mages, and Black Phillips is a neat idea.

Dual Shotguns - Useful til about Wave 20, after that the only benefit is better accuracy. Though an effective weapon against Phillips, and Mages.

NOTE: Using Single Weapons is better for accuracy, at the trade off of slower fire rates, you can switch back to them from Dual weapons by pressing the hotkey again (2 for Pistol, 3 for Shotgun)

Super Shotgun - Range will become important later, but for Waves 3-16 the Super Shotgun is king, though should be relegated to Leathernecks, Phillips, and Mages unless finishing Scarecrows, and Maidens off, otherwise the SSG is all glory, yet no guts, and is just a dirt kicker when shot more than five metres away.

Assault Rifle - Long-ranged, decently accurate when the mouse is "feathered", and fast ROF, the AR is what you will need when there's too many damn Charlies (I mean Mages and Phillips) in your AO.

Crossbow - The Hunting rifle but slightly weaker, fired faster, and with the ability to go through enemies. This is the counter to mages, and Philips, you will always get 10 ammo per wave, which is a steal, though rather pointless versus Maidens, and Scarecrows.

Hunting Rifle - The Crossbow but slower, fires two high damage projectiles that kill two leathernecks behind each other, will take three shots to put grandma back to sleep, and put anything below her in a grave, though you only get five rounds, 15 max, and Maidens, and Scarecrows can quickly dwindle your ammo.

Mortar - Weapon Fire Rune is important to make this function, otherwise it's clearly the worst, trading damage for hurting you, larger blast damage, above average ROF, and spammy nature. use against crowds, and if you wasted your rivets (heh heh, PLEB)

Riveter - After Wave 8 (or so) four will always spawn each Wave, the Riveter deals major damage, though direct hits are important to wipe out Scarecrows, and Maidens, but don't get too cocky, and filled with Hubris, psychologically your sub consious will spam this in an effort to clean enemies, WRONG, you'll only waste ammo.
Conclusion
After testing, and working these tactics, a rather lacking 11 waves were turned into 26 through the guides steps, towards the end of that game, on Wave 25 I realized with only 23 health, sourrounded by Fork Maidens, Scarecrows, Leathernecks, and Mages I gunned down a Maiden, some mages, and a leatherneck with my Assault Rifle, before a couple of Scarecrows gunned me down as if was a third world country, dying 33:40 in, in a way that would've made ol' Rambo cry, then I went O O F, and went to sleep. THE END.

Neverthless I hope you silly sausages go out, and enact what I have told you, and remember Dave Oshry memes, are KING *dabs*

Forgot to mention, a high, but managable Mouse Speed, and FOV of 120 is very important, so it's imperative that you use them.
