Half-Life 2 pre-release Combine sniper sounds

Omschrijving
Replaces the firing and reload sounds of the Combine sniper NPC with the older sounds used in the leak and the original retail HL2.

You can test them out in the console by using the "play (filepath)" command. The files affected are:
npc/sniper/echo1.wav
npc/sniper/sniper1.wav
npc/sniper/reload1.wav

You can call the HL2 pre-release the "beta" if you're so inclined.

Actually, Half Life 2 used those sniper sounds right up until Episode 1, where it was deemed a new one should be added to better represent the futuristic design of the weapon, at which point the sound was retroactively upated to the new one.

Either way, thanks for doing this, I missed these sounds :3

This only replaces the sound of an existing NPC, which is the Combine Sniper from Half-Life 2. It doesn't add any new ones.
The Combine Sniper isn't spawnable by default in the spawnmenu. You'll have to use some other means of spawning it (such as the console or another addon).

is this acctualy and NPC because it says it is but i cant find it but that is proberly because im blind as a bat

Sorry, I can't really help with that. I know there's addons out there that add the sniper to the spawnmenu, though. Have you tried limiting your search categories?
