The special infected are a particularly nasty group of zombies, which are much more dangerous than the rest. This guide will teach you how to survive them with much greater ease.

Description:
A very fast, hunched over zombie that laughs when it's near/coming towards you.
It will come over and jump onto your head, hijacking you.

Technique:
Kill from far away, particularly with a long range gun, but shotguns work too.
If it gets on you, hold your movement key in the direction you want to go and attempt
to resist it's influence.

Description:
Works similarly to a jockey, but instead of fast sprinting, the hunter does far range leaps.
He will make an animalistic screech when pouncing.

Technique:
Shoot them from afar, or swing your melee weapon at it while it's jumping towards you to kill it instantly.
I've done it before.

Description:
A very fat zombie, that makes a deep kind of guzzling noise. The bile from the boomer attracts the horde.
It can get it on you in two ways. 1. You letting it vomit on you by getting too close. 2. By killing it from a short distance, the bile gets on you.

Technique:
Kill it from far away, or cautiously from a medium range.

BOSS CLASS ZOMBIE



Description:
A crying, female zombie. Seemingly wearing nothing but a bra and undergarments.
Who knows why.
They will leave you alone, but if engaged they will sprint towards you,
downing you instantly and tearing you apart until you die. The witch will
then become idle. The only way to save you from this is hoping a friend is near.

Technique:
When the crying gets loud, and the opera horror music is echoing in your ears, look for the witch(es) and make sure you press f to turn off your flashlight. Do not look at her, shoot her, OR bump in to her and you'll be fine.

A zombie sometimes surrounded in smoke. You must stay alert for these.
They have long tongues to constrict you.

Technique:
Keep an eye out for them. Don't let your guard down, and if you see one, shoot IT
and it's tongue before IT gets you. If it does, all you can do is call your friends for help.

Description:
I call them mini-tanks. We'll get to them later. Chargers are relatively normal zombies, with one mutated large arm.
They will charge at you in a football like style. If they catch you, they'll slam you against the ground until you die.
You can only hope a friend is nearby. You really can only hope for a lot of these.

Technique:
They are easily disoriented by moving back and left or right away from them. If you keep dodging their charges like that, you should have no difficulties dealing with them. Kill them preferably from afar, or from the side with a melee.

Description:
These are skinny zombies, with a somewhat greenish tint. They have a toxic green acid dripping from their fangs.
They can damage you in two ways. With their long spitting range, they can spit acid underneath you.
When you kill them, the acid in their body dumps out beneath them, possibly damaging you.

Technique:
Always stay moving around them. Kill them from any range you like, but stay weary of their spit.
If you kill them with a melee or really close, wait for the acid to spread out underneath it, then
finally evaporate.

Finally.
IT. This evil thing.
You'll know by it's music.
The dramatic, DUN DUN DUN DOO DOO DOO DOO DO DO.
The music is laced with a drum filled background.


BOSS CLASS ZOMBIE



Description:

Arms as big as it's entire body. No escape. Able to outmanuever you, is faster than you when
you're significantly damaged. Even when not, it's just as fast as you and can throw large bricks.
500 times as much health as you.(FYI, just re-reading my guide, I wanted to clarify that I'm exaggerating here about the "500 times as much health part. Don't take it literally. However, I wasn't joking about the tank having an insane amount of health. You'll have some difficulty dispatching it.) Hope you can turn and parkour faster than it.
You'll hear it coming.

Technique:
Run. RUN. If you can, throw a molotov on to it, or drop a gas tank
and wait for him to come and shoot it. You can try to shoot it from afar, but I wouldn't.
If you do, the Tank will turn his attention towards you. He can climb just as well as
the other zombies, if not better.

Bile bombs are also effective against tanks for chipping away at their health, as long as you have one.

FINAL TIP
Stick together as a team. Together is the only way you'll guarantee your success.
