3 Weapon workshops (for trade)
6 Granaries

1 Shipyard
1 Stone carver

1 School
1-2 Apotecary
1-2 Hospitals
1-2 Cult temple (City patron + Osiris)
4-6 Temple (Osiris, Isis, Bast, M'at, Hapi, Amun)
4-5 Shrines

Layout, save game file.
I got a couple of request on the city layout. Since every map is different, i think its best that you take a look at a save game instead:
Download it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/153YzyzJH4xE67BzJbZ9DjqiEInbjk1nz/view?usp=sharing
Gods, priests and work
The first priest
At the start of the game, I start with 1 school, 1 mortary, 1 apotheracy and 1 hospital and let 1 priest take cary of it all.

When people start complaining about worship, I start to build these shrines:

  • Anubis
  • Hapi
  • Osiris
  • Hathor
  • Isis
  • Ra

When I get my second graduate, I aim for another priest.
Third graduate goes to become a Scribe and Assess taxes.

There are 14 gods in the game:
Osiris - All adults
Bast - Adults
Ma’at - Adults
Hapi – Adults

Amun - Patron of adult peasants
Ptah - Patron of adult shopkeepers and craftsmen

Isis - Patron of elite women and housewives
Horus - Patron of elite men and elite children
Anubis - Adults, especially elite

Hathor - Patron of entertainers
Ra - Patron of overseers and laborers

Thoth - Patron of scribes
Sobek -Patron of city guards and commanders
Set - Patron of soldiers and commanders

Isn't a guide like this counter-intuitive to the game itself?

Why would you want to simply copy someone elses layout? if your having to do that, you've missed the point in this game.

Hello everybody. I added a link to a save game file where you can study the layout and mechanics of my strategy. Hope it helps!

I am afraid this is profoundly erroneous.

Without seeing the layout, it's difficult to see how this works. But even on paper this just doesn't add up. I don't see how 5-6 priests could run a Cult temple, 4-6 temples, 4-5 shrines, 1-2 Hospitals, 1-2 Apothecaries, 1 school...and you didn't have a mortuary?

It took me 10 Priests to run 1 Cult temple, 3 Temples, 6 shrines, 2 hospitals, 2 apothecaries, 1 mortuary and 1 school. I dedicated 4 priests to the Gods, 3 to healthcare, 2 to all services, 1 to funerary service.

Also, there's a big gap at building. You had no overseers or laborers? How did you build any of those temples without them?

There's also no Court of Law listed.

I mean, this is essentially useless. It's fine telling us how many of things you have, but without an actual layout for the city it's impossible to make any use of it

can you show a layout? I would love to see where you put stuff!
