Escape
Exit / close an open menu

Up
After clicking on a menu button to open it (such as the Character menu), then pressing Escape to close the menu, Up will navigate up the list of menus on the left-hand side of the screen

Down
After clicking on a menu button to open it (such as the Character menu), then pressing Escape to close the menu, Down will navigate down the list of menus on the left-hand side of the screen

Enter
After clicking on a menu button to open it (such as the Character menu), then pressing Escape to close the menu, Enter will select the highlighted menu entry from the list of menu buttons on the left-hand side of the screen
