Foreword
Started playing and (I admit) I got a little stuck, and sought a guide to progress. That was when I realised that the only guide available (it’s a really good guide though) for this Collector’s edition was in Russian; and that the non-collector’s edition had slightly different achievements, meaning that the English guides there were also not ideal. So I set out to make this guide (my first ever guide for any game) for the Collector’s edition, and in English. Hope you will find it comprehensive and efficient in your quest to 100% achievements!
Disclaimers
  • This guide is written as an adaptation of the great guides written by Lastochka and Hanen.
  • If you follow this step-by-step guide; you can unlock all achievements in a single playthrough (some saving and replaying of certain scenes is necessary).
  • As this guide intends to hold your hand all the way, there WILL BE spoilers! Be warned!

Now with all achievements attained, you will also get the True Detective! Achievement.

Glad I noticed @katooki San 's comment and saved before hand. I also did not get the achievement Enjoying the Crime Scene on my first attempt. This is because there are two Master Swords you need to click on. One next to the Buster Sword and another on in a display case closer to the middle right of the screen. I also noticed that your list says Assault Riffle when, it is listed as Rifle (there is an Assault Knife). At first when I failed and had to reload, I thought it was because there was actually an Assault Rifle somewhere until I noticed the second Master Sword (3rd sword overall).

Other than that the guide has been flawless so far.

@Katooki San hmmm... Only thing I can think of that's preventing Enjoying the Crime Scene from popping is that you somehow missed inspecting an item in the list before going for the utility belt. If I remember right, there were items that had very similar names, like the master sword and buster sword that might have confused you. OR the game could have bugged? haha. reload a save and give it another go. Shoot for that 100%!

Firstly, thank you for the guide. Very helpful, and well written.

I'm struggling to get the Enjoying The Crime Scene! to pop. I've followed the guide as it's written, and still nothing. Anyone have any extra input?

Yeah. Good work on the guide too, had to use it two times myself!
juvejazzman  [author] 14 Aug, 2022 @ 10:02pm
@Dawnfire the guesswork is for if you want to get both achievements at one go, and thus saving time if you're going for 100%. if i remember right (it has indeed been many yrs) the direction hidden behind the painting is randomised. so u can't get the umbrella achievement (which kinda defeats the purpose of a 100% guide) if you use it to reveal the direction. i was not a fan of the puzzle too; it was one of the parts i really appreciated the Russian language guide that i based this English one on!
Dawnfire 14 Aug, 2022 @ 5:06pm
No one will read this at this point 3 years after the author's last response and almost one year after the previous any response, but since I'm playing this now, whatever:
In ep 3 part 1 it says
You start as Amber in Tigren’s lair. You can get the next 2 achievements together by completing a puzzle. The puzzle requires guesswork, so save your game before playing it to save time.

Important: Do not touch the umbrella!

Well, it doesn't -require- guesswork since the arrow that shows the direction is on the back of that painting there you can pull down with the umbrella. Maybe that changes between games, southwest for me, but still. Of course, to get the umbrella achievement which I didn't and I don't replay stuff like that, you have to guess that. But I would have hated the puzzle if it was actually random and it isn't.
