i'm trying to make a construction bench but its not working i have all the materials can anyone help?

How do we build in alpha 8

Ok so you have to build an advanced construction bench. I just did this and when you enter constructiong mode a little menu pops up with the different layers. so just have a look at you journal and see what you need.

you have to build a construction bench to activate gravity free mode and then you can stick things together withouitout it all falling apart. As for switching between layers I have no clue. I read somewhere that pressing page up and page down allows you to do so but it doesnt seem to work for me on my mac.

how do i enter building mode?

While I do like your vid, I think it might be dated. The latest release looks completely different and you don't have some of the same options. Although the layering technique might still apply to building cabins and stuff.

Im trying to buid a boat in the main story and i cant,,, why -_-
