Launch RO2 in Steam bypassing Create Account for existing Users.

For those who are having issues with the release of Ragnarok Online 2 who have already created an account, you can bypass by following these instructions.

Go to your Computer
Enter your (C:) Drive
Go to your Program Files (x86) *for 64-bit users, 32-bit should just be without (x86)*, then Steam, next steamapps, now common and you should see Ragnarok Online 2 folder there.
Once you're in there, backup your WPLauncher.exe and RO2Client.exe.
Rename RO2Client.exe as WPLauncher.exe and rename the original WPLauncher.exe to either WPLauncher - BK.exe or move it somewhere else safe.

Once you have done this, you can now enjoy your RO2 game without that the creation menu always popping up and can load the game easly in steam to fully support your Overlay if you are using it or not.

Thank you for your time in reading my simple guide. Also be aware this game has been released since May 1st, 2013, so Gravity (Warpportal) will eventually fix this without the need of this guide anymore. So for now this is the best option for existing users who don't want to create a desktop shortcut and using steam's client to launch their games.

I just go straight to the RO2Client.exe file in from my computer directly and click it.... let's see if it works

It's ridiculous that it's been a year and this was never fixed.

They patched that so it doesn't work anymore, try this:

1. Go to the game directory and open MD5FileList.txt
2. Delete everything in it and save.
3. Go to the file's properties, check read-only and click ok.
4. Run it through steam and see if it goes to the launcher without error.

If it gives the same error or something else let me know. Worked for me!

i suddenly get RO2 link download on steam, i wanted to recommended this game to all my friend, but "this item is unvailable on your region" text always appear whenever i getting in RO2 on steam. Since then i can play RO2 on steam properly

no it works. Just try to start the game one last time by RO2 game that you renamed WPLauncher and the patch doesn't give error. The next time you can start it by steam and everything works!

I did just that and I got the patch failed error so this guide is pretty much useless now.
