Part One: The Valley
This beginning area serves as a tutorial, and eases you into the gameplay. There is plenty of food in the area, and no threats in the beginning portion. You begin the game with your cubs in the burrow, one of your cubs is deathly hungry and you must bring the turnip that is deeper in the burrow to the cub to proceed to the next area. After feeding your cub you're allowed to exit the burrow by going further into the tunnels.
Tip! Keep note of the gray color of the cub as this is the main indicator that your cubs are hungry.

Now your out in the beautiful outdoors, try keep on moving, but do admire the scenery. The game will give you instructions and controls on how to take down a apples and also how to hunt. It will also intruct on how to catch foxes. Foxes are tricky to catch as they will run away if they spot you. Try approaching them through the grass. Believe me it is possible; I personally wouldn't worry too much about it.

Now comes the serious part. You go through a little pathway and the music fades away to silence. This is the first challenge: the hawk. This is the first true threat to your cubs as if they are caught in the open they will be taken away and you will hear their pitiful screams for help and pain. Hide in the grass patches and make a run for when the coast is clear!
Tip! Make sure the shadow is a little far away before you sprint to the next patch of grass, because the hawk will make a u-turn the moment you walk into the open.
After you pass through the hawk's area. You'll fall into the next chapter.
Part Two: Night Terrors
The next challenge that you and your cubs now face is the eerie night. It's mighty dark out and your cubs are defenseless against the nightly terrors. Every so often, a twig will snap which will cause your cubs to run in a panic - chase after them by sprinting (this is the only time you're allowed to run). If they are out of your sight for too long, they will surcumb to a nightly predator.
Tip! Sometimes your cubs will run the opposite direction when frightened, so be ready.
Make sure you are still getting food for your cubs. Follow through the narrow path and you'll find a stream - keep following the stream until you come an opening with a pond. Walk around the pond on the right side and you will find the entrance to the next chapter.
Part Three: The Flooding

The next area is a flooding river, you must bring your cubs up the side of the mountain to bring them to safety. The river is rather calm besides the random pulses of water that gush down the mountain. Cross the river when the river is calm and avoid the pulsing water. You can avoid the heavier currents of water by hiding behind rocks and waiting for the two river currents before running to the next boulder to hide behind. If one of your cubs is caught in open water when the pulse hits - they'll be swept downstream and drown.
Tip! It's easier to scout ahead by using the mouse wheel to angle the camera far away to see what's up ahead.
Part Four: Forest Fire
The next area is a forest that is being consumed by a wildfire. Be careful staying in the grasses as they will be soon engulfed by fire and it will force you to move. This will come up later in the area...

Guess who's back? Yup, our friend the hawk. Who is hunting in a middle of a fire - how inconsiderate. Same strategy as before, but now there is a little bit of a time limit, because if you wait too long the grass will catch on fire and you will be forced to move out into the open.
When you exit the tunnel and go to the river; you are now safe from the hawk and the way to the exit to the right from the tunnel. You can now relax and feed your cubs up some more as their is plenty of chances for food.
Part Five: Finding Home

This is the last chapter of the game - the home stretch. You've survived the night, a flood, and now a wildfire. You and your cubs deserve a nice rest. You just need to get to the hill past the plain. Everything will seem normal with plenty of chances of food for your cubs as you make it down the mountain. Until you reach this valley....
TAKE MY WORD FOR IT AND RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN TO THAT TUNNEL.
The hawk will respawn and if you are not ready for the attack, the hawk can easily take one of your cubs before you know it. Once you exit the tunnel it's another hawk attack. Same strategy as before- hide in grass and wait until the shadow passes, and aim towards the sun and hill. Once there is no more grass before you...you are safe from the hawk and the game will end as you are walking toward your new home.
Closing Notes
I hope this guide helped you out at some point in the game. I really enjoyed making it.
