How to play any Storm Engine game and count hours [EN]
By Lucas SZCbanditcamp ☠
Easy tip to play any storm engine game and count hours on steam. With Steam UI and screenshots included. You'll only need to have Sea Dogs Caribbean Tales on Steam and a copy of any other storm engine game, such as Age Of Pirates 2, or Pirates Of The Caribbean (Sea Dogs 2).

Explanation in deep
The purpose of this guide is to show you all how you can do to run any Storm engine game and make Steam believe you're playing Sea Dogs Caribbean Tales. With this easy trick you can play any Akella's pirates games that you want, maybe your favorite one, and count hours on steam, upload screenshots, open the Steam Overlay, etc.
I've tried it with Pirates Of The Caribbean (or Sea Dogs 2) and it worked fine.
What you'll need
You'll need the following things:

-Obviously Sea Dogs Caribbean Tales purchased and installed on Steam
-A installed copy of any other Storm Engine games, such as the Age Of Pirates series, or PoTC.
Steps to follow
FOLLOW THIS STEPS IN ORDER OR THIS WILL NOT WORK

1)Install a clean copy of the Storm Engine game that you want, in any place that you want, this will not be a problem, you'll use this copy later.

In this case, i will use a copy of Pirates Of The Caribbean.

2)Once you've installed the other game, go to the main folder of Sea Dogs Caribbean Tales, usually located on C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sea Dogs Caribbean Tales

3)Once you're there make a copy of ALL the files inside the folder, and save them in other folder, outside or inside the Sea Dogs Caribbean Tales folder, but in another folder such as "Copy" or something like that.

4)Now copy all the files of the game that you've installed on the STEP 1, and paste them in the Sea Dogs Caribbean Tales folder like this:

You can see the "Copy" folder, inside there's the original Sea Dogs Caribbean Tales game, and the files outside are the Pirates Of The Caribbean ones.

5)Open Sea Dogs Caribbean Tales from the steam Library, and you'll see that the game that shows up is the game that you copied.

You can see that the game running on the background is Pirates Of The Caribbean, not Sea Dogs Caribbean Tales, it's counting the playing time, in the chat shows that i'm playing Sea Dogs Caribbean Tales, and i can take screenshots and upload them.
Extra things and fixes
Custom resolution on Storm Engine games

Go to the folder of the game and open engine.ini, you'll see this:

The first line i've marked it's for the Windowed fullscreen, this can fix the "alt+tab" problem

full_screen = 0 ; 0 = windowed Mode 1 = Full Screen

The two others lines are for the resolution, change the number and put your custom res. Example:

screen_x = 1920
screen_y = 1080

Slow camera and laggy menus on PoTC

This problem is caused by the extreme high framerate on the game, just download Riva Tuner Statistics Server

Link: http://www.guru3d.com/files-get/rtss-rivatuner-statistics-server-download,14.html

Once Riva Tuner is installed and opened, press the Add button, and search for "ENGINE.exe" on the Sea Dogs Caribbean Tales Folder, next set the aplication detection level to "High", and limit the frames to 60. EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO PLAY THE GAME YOU'LL NEED TO OPEN RIVA TUNER AND LET IT RUNNING ON THE BACKGROUND

I actually don't know, i have a spanish copy of the game, but i saw that you're an english speaker. You'll probably find a link to download the game if you search "Sea Dogs 2", that's the original name before Disney got into the making of the game and renamed it.
