How to hack CCC Hacksquad Filedump

Alright, so if you've played through Hacknet you probably came across the "CCC Hacksquad Filedump" server. And you probably tried to hack it and raged after being forced into failsafe almost immediately. Here is the guide how to get into the server without raging at failsafe.

NOTE: This can be done only if you kept SecurityTracer.exe from the first mission. Otherwise you'll have to complete the whole game and get a copy from Credits Server.

Step 1. Connect to "CCC Hacksquad Filedump" server and start "SecurityTracer" (Immediately after starting "SecurityTracer" you will get a timer which goes much slower than original Filedump tracing timer)
Step 2. Start opening the ports. (I recommend opening SSH and HTTP first since they open much faster)
Step 3. After opening SSH and HTTP check if you have enough time left and start opening SQL port. If time is about to run out then run "ps" command, get PID of SecurityTracer, kill it and start it again.
Step 4. After all 3 ports were opened run "PortHack" and wait for it to hack into the server.
Step 5. When you are finally in, run "ps" command, get PID of SecurityTracer and kill it.

There you go. Now you successfully hacked into the Hacksquad Filedump server. Try to get anything you want from the server with the first try, because after you disconnect the ports WILL CLOSE and to access the server you'll have to go thru theese steps again.

The only good thing about this server is that you get the Honey theme for your interface, otherwise the rest is randomly generated data or IRC logs

OR you could just use the admin account. It stays the same every playthrough, though trying to hack the server will result in it being randomized. user: admin, pass:honeypot

is this the only way? i remember doing it way when i first bought the game and it wasn't this way. it involved some logging out and back in quickly before your previous crack finishes or something

You'll get it at the end, it is on the Credits Server. Nothing particulary interesting at CCC Hacksquad Filedump, so not really a miss...

Nice guide,but i eventually figured it out myself.
SecurityTracer.exe must have been made specifically for this,lol.
