Introduction

Young and pretty, Janne Markovsky used to be a rising star, a very talented musician until a jealous ex boyfriend crippled her, turning her into a disabled person in a wheelchair.

Desperate to bring her daughter back to a normal life, her mother decided to take her to a shaman. The old wise man was known for making miracles using ancestral rituals.

The Shaman lived deep in the forest, his witch hut lost in the middle of nowhere. There was no road that led to his place and a poorly-visible trail was the only means of getting there.

The mother and her disabled daughter followed the trail through the cold and unwelcoming forest for what felt like several days. To their dismay, the trail had faded and they were lost. Not only that, but their cellphones had died and it was almost night. It was then they heard the howling of a wolf break the silence of the forest.

In defeat and fear, the duo attempted to head back to civilization. After half an hour of walking, a wolf lept out of the bushes at Janne. It managed to knock her out of her wheelchair and bite into her shoulder before her mom attacked the wolf, wrestling the beast off of her helpless child. However, she was quickly mauled by the wolf, and was killed by a swift bite to the throat. Janne couldn't do anything but spectate in horror as the wolf feasted on her mother's corpse. After the wolf had it's fill, it left Janne to die where she lay as a meal for the future.
Abilities
Full Moon Fury

Janne starts the match as a normal girl. Only her forearms and hands look supernatural, like wolf legs/paws with long claws. She is slightly faster than a survivor. Her red glowing eyes make her look quite creepy. Once she reaches Bloodlust 1 during a chase, she will fall to the ground in convulsions to become a wolf. The process lasts 1.5 seconds. Her FOV is very limited during that short period of time (the camera is looking down, it can be compared to a stun).

She will remain a wolf while she's got Bloodlust active. Losing Bloodlust will activate a 7 seconds timer. If no other prey is found during the timer, Janne will get back to her quasi-human form.

  • Her Movement speed as a wolf is 15% faster, plus she has got an additional +10% movement speed boost for a second right after she shapeshifts.
  • She can jump over pallets/through windows as fast as a survivor when in her Wolf form
  • After landing a successful hit on a healthy survivor, Janne will grab them and throw them to the ground. She will then start to maul them. If the mauling is successful, the survivor will transit into the dying state and Janne will howl, turn back into a human over 1.5 seconds and will be able to carry the prey to the hook.

During the mauling, the survivor will perform three consecutive skill checks. Every succcessful skill check will increase the duration of the struggle for 1.5 seconds, though after those three skill checks the survivor will lose the fight nonetheless. A failed skill check will transit the survivor into the dying state immediately. The scary music, violent animations and tension for both sides should make the mauling an adrenaline pump.

The killer has got to spam the space bar. If the spamming fails, Janne be stunned for 3 seconds and the survivor, injured, will be able to run away.

Other survivors can not interrupt the mauling process. In fact, anyone getting too close to the mauling beast will scream in panic the same way as if reached by the Doctor's madness and will remain stunned and screaming, until the beast finsihes mauling her victim. Once the panic attack is over, the survivor will suffer from the exhaustion and hindered effects for 20 seconds.

The range at which other survivors start to panic is defined by the items the beast uses, as well as there is an element of randomness too. This will make it harder for bold survivors to bodyblock or blind the killer.

Perks

Cautiousness - The killer can flip 1/2/3 pallets on their own. When flipping a pallet, the killer does not stun him/herself. This will allow killers to flip and destroy pallets that are being used by a particularly bold pallet looper. For Janne, this perk is even more crucial because in her wolf form, she can jump over flipped pallets without a speed penalty.
"They think I am a beast of the fog, a monster. I don't blame them. I just want this to end as quickly as possible." - Janne

Infection - Once a survivor is knocked down into the dying state, a timer activates. Once the timer expires, the survivor dies unless they escape before that happens. The timer lasts 12/11,5/11* minutes. Nothing can cancel or delay it. When reaching the 10* minutes mark, the survivor can no longer be healed above the Injured state.
(*) the exact amount of minutes should be balanced
"There are some diseases and wounds only the campfire can heal. No matter what happens, you've gotta make your way to its healing light before it's too late." - Vigo's Journal

Kill the Strongest First - A survivor that manages to blind the killer gets the Exposed debuff for 20/25/30 seconds.
"You're smart... I will ki25ll you first." - Janne

Tattered Wristwatch - A watch she got as a gift from her mother. When Janne turned into a wolf for the first time, her wrists grew wider, yet the watch didn't break; it broke her skin and settled into the muscles of her wrist. The watch serves as a literally and figuratively painful reminder of her dead mother.

Strategy and Overview
Janne is probably best suited for those players who are utterly annoyed by bold survivors. While Janne requires some practice to be mastered, her ability to easily chase down pallet loopers will be loved by many.

When in wolf form, Janne can basically one hit kill a healthy survivor. In order to compensate that, the mauling process plus the animations take quite a bit. The whole thing might take anywhere from 2 to 12 seconds (depending on whether the survivor will land all of the skill checks + the addons Janne is using). Good thing is - spamming space bar will guarantee a dying survivor, plus nobody can interfere in this process. Bad thing is - any perks that add the Exposed effect are useless for Janne, unless she is in her quasi-human form.

Any survivor who is facing Jane should avoid long chases at all cost. Once Jane gets Bloodlust I, the survivor is pretty much doomed. If that happens, the only vulnerable spot is the 1,5 seconds during which Jane is turning into a wolf. Experienced survivors can use that window to change direction, enter a locker or do something else that is not expected by the killer.

Stealth-based gameplay is adviced when facing Jane.

The mauling sounds to OP how about the survivor struggles and the killer has to skill check.

@Drooling Cowboy This could look a bit too similar to Michael, but I do like the idea

I think the base form should have a movement speed lesser than the survivors, but a small terror radius. Then whenever she transforms into beast-girl thing the terror radius covers the entire map, and a neat theme plays or whatever.

@Space Moon Cat you and other alike that put work like this into it definately deserve it, chances are they probably have used these in many case as inspiration for perks or even killers they have now and survivors.

@Lizard There have been talks about ideas that have been posted here and then months later being seen in DBD. There might or might not be a link, though there is certainly some sort of correlation. Hopefully, devs read those to at least get some creative ideas from the community. What is your take on this?

Awesome job on this guide.. I just wanted to know as I honestly dont, but with any killer we have now (And there is room for a first) but what we have now.. are any of them from the community besides suggesting an already existing killer like a fan made one ? Do they even notice it ?
