"HWS is meant as very easy in use generator of dynamic, interesting battles conducted by HETMAN commanding AI. Unique each play battle experience powered by very complex scripting is created with few mouse clicks. No addons required.

Resulting battle may vary greatly each try. War has many faces, nothing is guaranteed. You're only one of many cogs in the war machine controlled by HETMAN, so do not expect any special treatment. Those battles aren't player-centric in any way. One time you may found yourself in the middle of fierce firefight immediatelly, another time you may be kept as reserve long time before you see any action. You may die in the first few minutes or survive to the end without a single shot fired, but with few clicks in the legs. Both extremes are not very probable, but possible and perfectly OK - just do your part or act on your own. Create own war stories."

'War Stories' aways was meant to just quickly showcase the true jewel behind it, HETMAN and its commanding AI capability. The thing is, nowadays there is a improved modified/updated version of HETMAN edited by NinjaRider600 -
HAL Evolved [forums.bohemia.net] - wich in turn complemented into NR6 PACK [forums.bohemia.net]. I highly recommend it's use by anyone who likes HWS and HAL. It the most up to date HAL experience, runs well, has expansions like an welcomed reinforcements script, all made ease to setup by placement of modules. Only downside i think is having to setup each own scenarios. But overall, still is great to be "only one of many cogs in the war machine controlled by HETMAN".

@scameronde Yeah, I also remember this "Initializarion..." error happening sporadically to me. Never figured why tho. It seemed to happen with specific factions but never CUP factions. Last time i played, it was quite a while ago, CUP factions were strangely spawning without any ammo. It bothered me but wasn't playing constantly anyways. Now - even tough i can't confirm what i'm going to say - with the last assumption i got and other things, maybe HWS initialization must been innefectively working after some time. It's code has not receivied any updates a while, or atleast since i last cheked in the forum.

I can not play this installment of HWS. After the initial mission setup I am getting an "Initialization failed: no forces to use".

I even started ARMA without any DLC or mods except the map and selected plain old NATO/CSAT. Same result.

Which factions do you use? CUP factions seem not to be working out of the box.
