When I was in Chicago in 2010, I was in Federal Plaza near this building, taking photos of the famous Flamingo sculpture, when I was accosted by someone who was either a guard, cop, or agent (Homeland Security, etc., I never took note). They suggested I'd be taken in by the "people in those buildings" for questioning and have my camera taken away for taking photos of the federal buildings, and said I had to leave. I was escorted off the premises, despite the fact that photography of or around Federal Buildings from/on public property is perfectly legal. I guess some people think that's a terrorism risk...

...So instead of photos, enjoy this highly detailed and accurate recreation of Chicago's Federal Center, right down to the anti-terrorist bollards. Subscribe to annoy Homeland Security.

The Everett McKinley Dirksen United States Courthouse was designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and completed in 1964. It's 384 feet high and has 30 floors. The tower has an open lobby with elevator banks visible in-game. @ApollonDriver, check out the "Photographers Bill of Rights," easily findable by any internet search. In the USA, if you are on public property, you have the right to take photographs. As a person who enjoys photographing trains as a hobby (railfanning), it's something that I needed to know post-2001.

@BoldyBuilding, this is a great-looking asset, and I am thinking about how to fit it in my current build!

so I'm having an issue where randomly this building went from being a police station to being a high density residence... anyone else have that happen?

Hey BloodyBuilding,

Thank you for this asset. I really needed a federal square like area. Quick question tho. Do you have any plans on re-releasing the building that is suppose to be a post office in this asset as such, and making it it's own building, not tied to the courthouse.Just Wondering?. Anyways, thanks for your assets. There Great!
