If you go to the desert, in the south-west, past the ruins, you will run into a zone with a house and several graves. In this zone, you will find crows (killing them is useless, so either hide or run), but more importantly harpies (around 200 gold per kill) and skeletons (around 400 gold per kill). This means you get 177 and 377 gold per harpy or skeleton, respectively !
If you are either quick or lucky, you may get to kill 10 skeletons in just 1 adventure, but I kill 5 on average, which equals 1885 gold! Which equals 5655 gold per month. This is far more profitable than the illegal bar, and does not increase stress.
The only downside is: it doesn't increase your stats.
PART 1
I am not very good at English, so I will let bilinguals translate.
When you kill monsters during adventures, they sometimes drop items and/or gold. In return, you get 3 sin points for each kill.
It is possible to buy indulgences and wash away your sins by donating money to the church: 100 gold equals 10 fewer sin points.
Therefore, each monster costs, in terms of indulgences, 33 gold.
For anyone unclear in French: alexishainaut is suggesting to go near the house with the graveyard in the desert, where you get a lot of encounters with the Crows and Harpies. Ignore the Crows, and focus on killing Harpies, as they give 177 G for one kill.
