This guide is the best guide you can find to teach all of you low level spies how to be on of the most obnoxious, annoying, pain in the A$$ spy the enemy team has ever seen. Remember that all of the enemy team will be salty because you are a pro spy and they will most likely accuse you of hacking.

How To Know If You Suck
First of all, You already suck.

But that's okay, most people suck when they first start out in tf2. Its natural. With a brand new experience to you CS:GO and League Of Legends players, I know it can be hard. I used to be like you, until I read some guides, watched some helpful videos, and practiced. A lot
Here are some tips on how to get better at spy.
  • Learn How to Get Behind Enemy Lines
  • Learn How to Disguise Correctly
  • Know Where all of The Metal (Ammo) Packs in Different Maps are
  • Try, Try Again. Even if you die at first, try to find another way around.
Knives and How to get Them
Spies Need Good Knives To Be Good Spies
All of the Basic Spy Knives Are
There are many reskins of these knives but I'm not going to list them because I'm not feeling like it.

You Can Find More On The Spy Here

To become a good SPY , you need to use real money to buy a spy starter pack, get multiple taunts, guns, cosmetics, and other things in the game to make you look good, even if you aren't.

How to Do Cloaking
Cloaking is a Difficult Art to Master

This is the Stock Invis Watch

This watch allows the spy to turn invisible for a limited amount of time. There are 3 different invis watches.
  • Stock Watch
  • Cloak and Dagger
  • The Dead Ringer

All of the watches make a noise when you decloak.
The stock watch just makes a small whooshing sound, same with the cloak and dagger. The Dead Ringer is a different type of invis watch. The Dead Ringer can be active, but you don't turn invisible. The only way to turn invisible is to take any type of damage. Even if you fall off a ledge, even if you take a singe point of damage, your dead ringer will be activated, but only if you have it open.

    The Dead Ringer
is a cloaking device that when you get hit, you feign[en.wikipedia.org] your death, and get a small speed boost. When your invis wears off, or you deactivate it, it will make a loud uncloaking noise, which reveals your location to the enemy, so be sure to get away from the enemy before you uncloak.
Disguises
Disguising is a very difficult thing to master

To disguise, you need to select your disguise kit. Then you need to press a number, 1-10, to select which class you want to disguise as. When you disguise, you emit a puff of smoke that you cannot see onscreen. When you disguise as another class, your speed decreases so it matches the speed of your opponent. The speed chart for disguises can be found here. Be careful when you are disguised because when you run into an enemy player, you don't pass through them, you run into them, and they will know you are there.
How to Deal With Engineers
Engineers can be very annoying, even to a PRO SPY like me.
Engineers can be extremely annoying to a new Spy, such as yourself. Engineers are the only class that can build things. The Spy has a useful tool in his arsenal, The sapper! The Sapper is a Spy specific tool that leeches health from enemy engineer's buildings. The only time the Spy is able to Sap an enemy building is when his is uncloaked/disguised. You cannot place down a sapper on an enemy building when you are invisible, and neither can you attack.
Ways to Sap an enemy building
  • Disguise as an engi and pretend you are fixing the building, but you are really putting on a sapper.
  • Backstab the engi, quickly swich to sapper and sap the sentry before it sees you there
  • Go invis, stand on top, and sap it, so it can't shoot you
  • Equip the noisemaker, and spam to annoy the f*ck out of them
But wait his friends came back now you engage no-clip and run
How To Taunt / Taunt Kill
Taunting is One of The Most Important Parts of TF2

There are taunts in tf2 that are for fun, being rude and even for killing! Some taunts work for all of the classes, and some only work for specific classes. The spy can do a taunt that can kill enemies and destroy buildings.
To taunt, you need to press "G", which is the default key to press to taunt. The spy swings his knife twice, dealing 25 damage each swing, and after two swings, he thrusts the knife forward, dealing 500 damage. This is known as the fencing taunt.

There are different taunts for each weapon that you hold. When you hold the knife, you do the fencing taunt. When you are holding the disguise kit, you flick a cigarette on to the ground. When you taunt holding your revolver, you dust off your jacket. There is no taunt for when you are holding your sapper.

Dealing With Other Spies
Other Spies Can Be A Nuisance[en.wikipedia.org]

When there is another PRO SPY on the enemy team, you can be in for a doozy. The enemy may have more experience than you, he may be able to trickstab, he could even be using hacks . When there is an enemy spy, you need to keep an eye out for the smoke that appears when someone disguises, or the sound of when a spy decloaks.

When you see a spy decloak or disguise, you need to go into action.

If you are up on a ledge, you need to jump down, try to get the kill, and if that fails, go into team chat and tell your team that there is a spy around here. The Average Pro Spy can usually get all the kills because he is not trash like the rest of his team. The other spy will almost always think that he is in cover when he disguises, so you need to get behind enemy lines, to see if you can spot an enemy spy disguising. Sometimes you need to stay behind your own team to spot an enemy spy uncloak, trying to get a kill on your own team.
