SELF-DISCLAIMER: I QUIT DOTA (AGAIN) tl;dr down there

This time comes with proper game-related reasons though (I quitted once years back at ~1200hr cause I moved oversea).

FIRST. Im amazed and satisfied with how far I'd come in the last two & a half months (~1000 more hours played). From calibrated Legend 2 (3200mmr), I dropped to Archon 4 bracket (2800mmr) and struggled there for at least a whole month. Those was truly the darkest nights as I was just a ''blind'' dotA player who can only win after double the losses. Soon though, I climbed over 1000mmr just in the following month (till now) and stayed steadily at Ancient 1~2 rank (4200mmr). 1000mr in straight win records is just only ~40 games. But it's DotA, and there was never a 40 win streak XD and during this perilous climb, I realized...

SECOND. I have figured out the one true way to gain mmr in DotA. From a witless noob scum Archon 4 to the trench leader Ancient 2, I as a player had improved a lot. I learnt to abuse voice communication to win impossible Archon games; to play all five roles so I understand the gameplay inside out; to watch pro games and practice drafting so I win the Legend games before the clock even tick; and to master OP heroes so I can focus on improving my game sense. To sum up, I actually ///studied/// DotA. Ye I realized I was actually studying the game, in the traditional sense (student study). By doing this, I became a better player and mmr increase is just a natural result. Though, by realizing this...

THIRD. I lost the hunger to win. I used to want to get higher ranks cause my friends all have higher ranks (being the noobest one in a stack aint fun). And the nature of any moba games with ranked match matching is .... well to raise to a higher rank ! xd. Yet as I reached Ancient bracket, I realized it's only more study that I have to do in order to even go further. Real-life hapens though, and I cant divert more time to or get more stressed from a game anymore. And once you come to this stage of thought....hmmm you see that DotA learning curve is truly worth its notoriety. Yet DotA is still a game, and a game doesnt deserve all this stress and time. This is when I just lost the will to draft properly, to make the calls and even to win.

Tl;dr: I quit DotA cause I cbf to put more time, effort and stress into a game which I explored 99percent of it.

So I stop here as a filthy casual low-Ancient...at least till next season where all the medal reset hmmmm

GUIDE ON HOW TO INCREASE YOUR MMR INIFINITELY

I feels ashame of posting this without turning it into a guide (was originally made as a profile comment for my friends to see only). So here it is: Tl;dr: S t u d y t h e g a m e
Dissect the game like any subject at your school, like you learning a new language or a new instrument. Treat the game as a not-yet understood science and you are the pioneer. Actually go on coaching websites and start from the very beginning. Learn literally everything if you want to improve forever. The most effective way to learn (for all things), is to ask questions and find the answer yourself. Here is two simple examples that you can expand upon.

I started with studying the three lanes. Why is there three lanes? There ought to be differences, what are they? Is it the creeps? The number of creeps? (No they all equal lulz) The movement of the creeps? (Yep it is) What else though? The length of the lanes? How does the different length make for different gameplay? So on so on.

Then I connected the lanes with the usual roles which go on those lanes. Top is offlane, mid is midlane and bot is safelane (for radiant team). Why is that? Why do safelane heroes/carries go in the safelane? Why cant safelane heroes/carries go in the offlane/ midlane? Are there exceptions and why? Doest it matter if we have no roles and treat all lanes the same? (a.k.a. the archon five carries meta) etc.

Of course the answer to these questions are usually second instinct to any seasoned DotA players (actually some mid-Legends still struggle with some of these concepts xd). You play the game long enough and you automatically understand not to pick a Spectre offlane, not to get Anti-mage mid or to go Axe safelane (excludes exceptions for the last one). Yet, when you approach the game scientifically, you not only understand the concepts but also the causes behind these concepts and the results of following/ breaking these rules. Applying this approach to higher-level DotA concepts like lane equilibrium abuse, drafting and line-up strategy, map awareness, effective team-communication etc. etc. and you
